Uhlease's Recap Part 2 (*Pics*) Kinda long again!! ;)
So continuing on from part 1...
My bridesmaids and I are back in the room now, and my parents show up to see me :) My mom helped me get dressed, then she went back to the hotel to get dressed herself. Here is a picture of me and my dad before the ceremony
And my grandmothers came to see me:
And my mom and her mom: My mom looked SO GOOD. I have never seen her dress so sexy and she looked amazing.
And she wore a hair flower in her that I made! You can't see it, but it was great :)
Then it was finally ceremony time!!!!! I wasn't that nervous anymore because we had already seen each other and that really took the nerves away. I wish I could have seen/heard our bridal party walk out but I guess that's what the video is for!!
I barely even heard my music playing when I walked out with my dad, all I could do was take in the surroundings and guests and Trent standing up there for me.
The ceremony was BEAUTIFUL. I cannot express how much I loved it. Our friend Sarah wrote a speech/reading, and even though I had read it before, it was tweaked a little bit during the ceremony and it BLEW ME AWAY. People commented on what a great job she did. And our mom's read the "hand ceremony" and we wrote our own vows that people LOVED and I just felt so much love. Then family pictures. We did pretty traditional famiy pictures. Even though I don't like formal pictures that much, it was just easier doing those with family! Hopefully we got some fun bridal party pics though.
Onto the reception!!
It was so great getting introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Puskas....even though the DJ PRONOUNCED OUR NAME WRONG!! The funny thing, we know him! It's not like a random DJ, plus, I wrote out the pronounciation anyways! Here's a side story on our DJ:
***His fiance had broken off their engagement the night before our wedding!!*** I had no idea! And how much does that suck!?! For both of us, b/c I could tell he wasn't in a great mood. And DJ's have to be in an upbeat mood! Crazy!!! He still played good music, that's just a little side story...
So, then it was time to eat, food was good! I didn't eat that much, but oh well. I hope other people did. People loved the food! We had about 7-8 no shows, so I'm surprised we still finished most of the food. lol.
Then we went around to each table to say hello and thank you. It was great to finally see everybody that was there and our friends were having cheering contests when we were finally at their table. It was funny.
We snuck off for a few sunset shots, then came back for toasts. The mic wasn't quite working, so my sister got a little nervous and flustered. Plus, she had her daughter up there with her and of course my niece had to go to the bathroom. lol. She was just potty trained, so to her, "I HAVE TO GO POTTY!!!" is an urgent thing ;) Then Trent's dad made a GREAT speech. No mic though b/c it still wasn't working! I can't wait to see videos!
The rest of the night went smoothly, cake cutting, first dance, father/daughter, mother/son, etc! It was GREAT!! Cupcakes were freakin' delicious. Our bundt cake was freakin' delicous!
I got to go on the balcony for bouquet toss
And the dance floor was packed the entire night! So much fun!! Little kids dancing, old people dancing. Great day. The venue coordinator ended up keeping the cake stands I made for any future brides that would want to use them :)
Finally two more little tid-bits. Two actually small little things that didn't go as planned. First: Trent and I had portraits done to put up that were pretty funny. Unfortunately they weren't staying up! So they didn't get put out until way late in the night when FINALLY I just said, lay it against the wall! HELLO!!!!!!!!! lol. SO anyways, here's Trent's portrait:
Mine looks very similar, I'm facing the other direction. Also wearing something blue. And that was our something blue!
Aaaand. I had an awesome rave shirt (don't ask. lol) that lights up when you dance. Well, I've actually never worn it. I've had it in my closet for years, and had been thinking about doing this from day 1. And I was testing the shirt all weekend and it worked. There's a battery pack. How funny is that!? Well later in the evening, I snuck away to take half of my hair down, and put on the shirt to bust out on the dance floor. Well when I turned on the battery pack, the shirt didn't light up :( IT DIDN'T WORK WHEN I WANTED IT TO!!!
My sister was with me and snapped this pic. I am holding the battery pack trying to get it to work. Haha. Just imagine that heart lighting up. I was bummed it didn't work! haha. Besides that, it was great!
I can't believe it's over. Right now, people's pictures are holding me over. I love my family and friends. It couldn't have been any better.
