ultrasound refund or redo- advice

So I went and paid $150.00 when I was 17 weeks 2 days to get a gender ultrasound done. The lady said she couldn't guarantee she would know the sex . . . but when she looked she said 100% boy. She even printed pictures that she labeled boy. I had an ultraouns with my doctor last night at 22 weeks 3 days and my doctor is saying 100% girl. Even wrote a letter. Do I have the right to call the ultrasound place and ask for a refund or ask to be re checked for free?

I would say no since she told you it wasnt 100%. You might be able to bargain another ultrasound out of it but I personally dont think a refund will be given.

I am just thinking of asking if they will check the gender to see if they were right or wrong.

You most likely won't get a refund since 17 weeks is still pretty early to determine gender. I agree with Christina... try and get another ultrasound for free.

I doubt they will give a refund since most places won't guarantee that the baby is girl or boy, but it doesn't hurt to call and ask for another u/s. Personally, I wouldn't bother though. They gave you the wrong answer in the first place... do you really trust them enough to go back again??

Ditto the other ladies.

I wouldn't trust a place that didn't give me a accurate screening. Cut your losses of that very expensive elective ultrasound.
