Alright ladies, how is everyone doing? update us :)
I am 18 weeks today! Almost halfway :) not to much to report. I have been feeling pretty good, cant complain at all. We got alexis in her big girl bed, and Hunter's room cleaned out (it became the overflow/ craft room) and the crib and changing table moved over to his room. I have also been sorting through all of alexis' old clothes, picking out the gender neutral ones, clothes I want to keep and then getting rid of the rest. Oh, and I've been feeling Hunter for a week or 2 now, lately its been getting a lot stronger :) loveee baby kicks <3
My next appt is the 17th and then I have my next sonogram is the 29th! Cant wait to hear how everyone else is doing :)
Heyyyy, congrats on your 18 weeks! Almost half of the journey is through! Glad to hear that you're feeling good. Sound like you got a lot done, which is great!
I'm almost 9 weeks and I'm terribly bloated since two weeks or so and it doesn't get better, ugh... :-( apart from that, I'm still doing a lot better than a few weeks ago, I'm less tired, what is good, because our first one (he's 16 months) is very demanding at the moment. I have my first appt on the 5th of feb and I can't wait for it, I'm so excited!
I'm currently 24wks, have my last 4 week appointment on Feb. 6th and then I start going every 2 weeks! Yikes! I have my gestational diabetes test coming up the beginning of February along with needing my other Rhogam shot, fun fun. We've been so busy with the holidays that our nursery isnt even close to getting put together but we're starting on it now. We've been feeling Baby L move around for awhile but they are getting to be stronger kicks. DH felt his first "serious" (as he called it) kick last night and he was pretty excited. My mom is currently planning my baby shower for February 16th.
I've been feeling pretty good for the most part. Lately it's been a lot of stomach muscle pain. I bought one of those bands that are for back support but kind of pick your stomach up a little and now wear that when I get ready in the morning before work and I usually have to put it back on when I get home. I'm "lucky" in that I sit at a desk all day so my stomach doesn't really "hang free" haha during the day.
I turned 16 weeks yesterday, and we got to find out that we're on team blue on Friday! Yay! So of course we had a mini shopping spree for baby boy right after :)
I also bought my first maternity outfit this weekend. Just some pants and a cute shirt. I went in there cause I needed some new bras (I'm popping out of my old ones! lol) so I bought a bunch of maternity/nursing bras.
I've been feeling pretty good for the most part. Just going through the normal aches and pains and still have low energy but other than that, me and baby are both doing well :)
Sounds like everyone is doing well so far! So jealous of you ladies that are feeling the babies kicks now :) I can't wait for that part!
I am a mere 5w3d but am already hitting information overload. I ordered a highly recommended book on multiple pregnancy and it's a bit overwhelming. It says I should eat 3000-3500 calories a DAY, with at least 130g of protein. AND that since I have not given birth before that I should try to gain 5-7 lbs as fast as I can. Ugh - I feel like I am eating all the time! I am doing the best I can, but I feel nauseous a good part of the day, even with all the eating. Apparently with twins, you need to start the stretching process to make sure they have room to grow and keep protein high so the placenta(s) stay healthy. They suggest about 25 lbs by 20 weeks, on top of the extra 5-7 lbs at te beginning. It is certainly going to be a struggle, but studies have shown it is essential if I am going to carry the babies to term and minimize the risk of NICU time. At least all this reading and eating and researching is keeping my mind off the next u/s. Hoping to heart two strong little heartbeats next week Thursday! Until then, I'll be in the kitchen :)
HI Ladies! Sounds like you're all doing well :) I'm jealous of the baby kicks too. Can't wait for those!
I'm 9w4d and feeling good overall. I'm hungry every 2-3 hours so I feel like I'm always eating. At least I'm doing my best to keep them healthy small meals. My bewbz are still sore, and I'm bloated 24/7. I toss/turn in the early mornings and have a spurt of energy in the evenings. I also noticed I have the pregnancy nasal congestion so I always sounds like I'm stuffed up. lol DH can hardly contain his excitment and can not wait for us to make our announcement public after 12 weeks. :)
I'm just a cute little 5wk, 2days :) I am not feeling too much different yet. However, yesterday was the first feelings of being nauseous & tired. Luckily it went away after I went outside & got some fresh San Diego air... But then came back when I ate a little too much at dinner time... Other than being bloated from morning till night, a little spacey & sore bewbs, I haven't felt too much different though. I dont think I will be saying such things in the near future however... I am soaking up all the 'normal-ness' right now, before things REALLY start to change.
And Laurie! OMG - you are really having twins arent you?! What a blessing those babies are already!
Good evening lovelies!
Looks like everyone is doing well!
@Olga:Glad to read you lil' man is doing well. Can't wait to see pictures!!
@Ashley: Is nasal congestion a real pregnancy symptom? Cause this would totally make sense for me. I'm over congestionated since last week and I wasn't sure why? I thought about a cold but didn't have any other symptoms! I wish it won't last all pregnancy though!
As for myself, everything is going pretty fine :). We're still freaking out sometime but mostly, we're dealing pretty well with this new pregnancy and are more than positive it will be the good one. And for my symptoms, still my sore boobs, mild cramping & bloating from time to time, and I have had nausea for a couple days now, but it's not that bad. I just notice it's there and then it's gone in no time. I hope it will stay this way!
We can't wait for my 1st U/S on february 1rst. 2 more weeks to go!
I am 31 weeks today :) I cannot believe how fast time is flying by! I'm still feeling sick in the morning and have have some painful bouts of heartburn. My joints have been killing me lately and sleeping on my sides have not helped at all. Luckily my momma gave me a gift certificate for a massage and I'm having it done on Friday and my shower is on Saturday. I can't wait! I'm pretty sure DH has no idea what is in store for him to unload when I get home :)
@olga, so great to hear from you! In fact, it's great to hear everyone is doing well!
I'm almost at my 27th week mark and starting to feel slightly weighed down but still overall feeling great. Baby kicks A LOT and it sometimes catches me off guard but I still love it. Dh and I seem to be on track with childbirth preparation. We scheduled our courses and secured our doula and I've been doing my yoga/bradley exercises. Dh also finished painting the baby/guest room and put together the bassinet so the room is looking sharp! Right now, I'm kinda just finalizing my registry since my sister is making the final arrangements for my shower. At the last minute, I decided to throw in some cloth diaper options just to test it out but what a learning curve! So much info, options, and opinions! But it's worth a shot. So yes, we've been busy, getting ready for baby to arrive : )
@olga - so glad you checked in! I've been thinking of you and your little man :) Glad to hear everything is going so well and he sounds like he is thriving!
@milkgirl - is it really already 31 weeks for you? Man, I really lost track of time there I guess. Hang in there, you are getting so close!
@pavez - congestion is DEFINITELY a sign of pregnancy and I have been suffering from it too! I am so torn every morning b/c I know a nice, hot shower would help the congestion but I don't want to spend too much time in a hot bathroom and risk getting overheated. I actually bought some of the J&J vapor bubble bath stuff for babies and have been using it as a shower gel for myself lol. Whatever helps!
Just chiming in on the congestion symptom :) I've had the stuffy nose problem since right before I got my BFP and I'm still almost always congested at 16 weeks. Another thing is I'm sneezing A LOT. I thought it might be allergies but I read the book "Belly Laughs" and she said she suffered the same thing. Apparently both are caused by the higher levels of estrogen during pregnancy. Oh, the changes!
Updates are fun!
Im 24w2d! I love I can finally say I am 6 months pregnant! lol. Idk why- but I do. Im feeling good- just lots of stretching pains and some shortness of breath. Leg cramps are my new enemy! His kicks so getting so strong! I love them- and they don't hurt yet! lol. Next apt is 29th and will have to do the glucose test! Meh!
We have his crib up and dresser. Waiting on the book case and glider. (oh and my new car) hehe. The nursery is being painted and lots of his decor and bedding are here. I can't wait for it all to be done- so excited!
We have finished our 2nd week of Bradley classes- and we love it so far. Learning so much and DH actually loves it! So now I am eating really well with lots of protein which is hard- you are suppose to do 80-100mg a day! So its been hard to do that and get it all in. I think I am eating better now than I did before I was preg!
Maternity pics are booked (got a maternity/newborn package)- now just have to find something to wear! Wont be until march though.
Need to book a 3/4d session...and shower date isn't 100% yet....
Loving all this so far! Can't wait to meet him!
Sorry for the delay, but here are some photos of Leo :)
Here is our big handsome boy, who is 8 weeks today :)
Olga! Your boy is A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E! This little guy will definitely make some girls cry someday, be sure of it! And I really love the picture of the three of you guys! A gorgeous family! Congrats again!
he is so cute Olga!
Yes congestion is a symptom of pregnancy, my "what to expect when expecting" app told me that the other day.
@Olga: Your sweet boy is absolutely precious! And I am so amazed to see the name you chose! That is the *only* boy name that DH and I both absolutely love...we are thinking about using it if we end up having a boy :-)
msdl that was the only name we could agree on also haha. We have 6 languages in our family (he is German and Hispanic, I am Estonian and Russian and we are from Europe), this name was literally the only one that sounded good in all the languages. I swear picking a name was soooo difficult.
I think it would be so sweet to have another baby Leo on our PW boards! I am rooting for another Leo :D
