Venue Shopping

My Fiance' and I went venue shopping this weekend and had a really good time and even found a few potentials.  However, I am kind of freaking out over how much everything is going to cost.  Even if we go with a venue that is on the cheaper side of things we still have the expenses of Flowers, Entertainment, Attire, Gifts...etc...!

In addition we are trying to remodel two bathrooms, my Fiance' moves in at the end of February and my daughter and her family have been living there since September.  The road is about to become real rocky and I will have to lean on you ladies every now and then.

" Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming"  one of my favorite quotes from Finding Nemo.  Cutest thing.

oh, it is so exciting! Money is always going to be the sticker, I know. <3 Good luck finding everything you want at a reasonable price! Remember to call upon friends who are in the industry, and see if they have discounts for anything. and shopping around is definitely good. :)

Venue looking is always exciting and so happy you guys had fun! I remember when I first went venue searching, I decided a budget on it and refused to look at any venues that were over that so I wouldn't get my heart broken! I definitely agree with Aggie, call upon your friends and use those networking skills! That is how I found my reception venue and DJ.

And you can always lean on us ladies for alternatives and advice! Something that was really helpful for me is deciding what I had to have versus something that was less important as far as money. For me it was flowers. Just take everything one step at a time and have fun with it! Once you secure the venue, you will feel a lot better and things will fall into place!

Thanks ladies, you seriously always make me feel better about any dilema's I face and celebrate in the happy moments in true lady fashion.

I am already looking into a couple of friends for services to see if I can cut some costs there.

Taking one step at a time is GREAT advice.  Thanks Tressy!

Don't forget those that are TRYING to break into the wedding industry. You can usually get them for next to nothing. I have lerned to barter for a lot of things that I see as must haves, but don't relly have the money for.

Just remember to Breathe. One of the girls here reminded me of that yesterdy when I was freking out about how much I have to do still.

Yes, thank you so much.  Taking a deep breath is definitely something I have to be reminded to lately.  I want to enjoy every step even the stressful ones :)
