Vest colors--Help!

Hi ladies,

I have a question... My FI has decided he wants all the guys to wear tuxes. My FI is going to wear a black vest with his, the groomsmen are wearing a light green, called peridot, my mom's husband is wearing a champagne vest, my dad is still undecided (but will wear either white or gray). Here is my question... I have 2 brothers, one is a GM, the other (who is 14) is going to play the guitar during the ceremony. I don't want him to feel left out so he is renting a tux too. What color vest should he be in? My FI would prefer that he not wear the same color as the GMs. I thought about having him wear the same color as my dad, but didn't know if I should that. My BMs are wearing dresses in Victorian Lilac (PIB).

TIA!

I would personally go all black because its classic its much easier than this because its confusing/a lot of work for you! That being said, if your FI prefers otherwise perhaps the dads can wear the same color or your guys in question can pick the white or grey that your dad doesn't pick - the other one.

I think this looks quite sharp

I would have your younger brother wear the same colored vest as his father. That way in the photos they'll be coordinated.

champ~ I would love to have them all in the same color, but alas, FI likes to make life difficult sometimes. :)

I thought about having all the dads in the same color, and I would be ok with my FIs dad in the same color as my dad, but I really don't want my mom's husband matching my dad, and she also wants him to coordinate with her dress.

lori~ As of right now that is what I think we are going to do.

Thanks for the feedback!

I second that your younger brother should have the same color as your dad. And, to not add more colors to the mix, I also agree that your FI's dad should have that same color. In that case, perhaps white vests would be better than champagne, since it matches a color that is already in the mix (through the shirts). This is especially true since the BM dresses are in another color. In the long run, it should not be a huge problem, as most colors being chosen are neutrals.
