Votive candles..how many?

I don't know if I should buy 72 or 144 votive candles & holders.

On www.candles4less.com 144 candles & holders are $92.16 w/ shipping

On ebay 144 candles & holders are $79.99 w/ FREE shipping

Is 144 too much? We arent doing centerpieces, we are just putting a some candles down the tables (not so close together)  w/ tons of red rose petals....sort of like HMM's

That's a great plan. I say go for it! What time is your wedding reception going to be?

yah, agree -- more votives!  my florist wants me to add 12 votive candles around each centerpiece.  she said it just makes the centerpiece look so much better!

I'd do the 144, b/c you'll always find places to add candles too, and it's a lot easier to just buy them now, and have extras, than try to buy them later, etc.

I agree, do the 144- you'd rather have too many than too few. And once you start decorating the ceremony site you may find a place you would like to use the extras : )

Do the 144. I bought 48 candles and then decided it was no where near enough. So thats when I bought another 72 from candles for less. Now I feel like I will have adamant lighting.
