I really wanted to write my own vows but I know that I could never say them at our wedding. I am an emotional person and I know I would just cry and not be able to verbally speak. I have decided to laminate them and have them delivered to my FI with my boudior album as he gets ready before our first look. When I read it back it doesn't seem to have a smooth flow to it so I'm happy with my decision what to do with them. Here they are.
MY VOW TO YOU
All my life I’ve had this idea of the
qualities I wanted in the person I would spend the rest of my life with as well
as the type of marriage I wanted. I chalked it up to a fairy tale that was
never going to come true…then I met you. On Dec 1, 2012 when I invited you out for drinks because I felt sorry for you that it was your birthday and you were sitting at home alone. I had no idea how quickly you would change my life. You began making my fairy tale come to life the day I met you.
Your unconditional love has blanketed me in an indescribable way. You are my best friend, my one true love, the most caring, kind, supportive, loving, passionate man I know. Once in a lifetime that certain someone comes along, the one you can’t live without, the one you will love and treasure until the end of time. I truly believe God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you. If it wasn’t for my past I would have never found you and for that I am forever grateful. Sometimes you look into someone’s eyes and know those are the eyes you want to get lost in for the rest of your life.
Loving you fills my heart with happiness because no matter where I am or what my day brings I know I get to come home to you. The best things in life are worth waiting for and I’ve waited a lifetime for this. Our life is proof that fairy tales do come true. It’s so amazing that I get to marry my best friend, biggest fan and strongest support system. You’re everything I never knew I needed and all I want for the rest of my life. I want to thank you for bringing true happiness and love back into my life and for showing me what it feels like to truly be loved for who I am. Thank you for putting my heart together the way it’s supposed to be with your love. You are so much more than I could ever hope to deserve.
Today becoming your wife has made me the happiest woman in the world. I promise to love you and make you as happy as you have made me. Remember I will ALWAYS LOVE YOU and will always have your back. It’s hard to put into words how amazing I think you are so I will spend the rest of my life showing you. . I promise to love you unconditionally, I promise to always support your hopes and dreams, I promise to be by your side holding your hand in good times and in bad, I promise you all my tomorrows till death do us part. This is my vow to you.
This is being said by my sister my MOH after our ceremony as we release white doves and before we are announced for the first time as Mr and Mrs Wylie by our Officiant
White doves mate for life. The releasing of these two doves symbolizes the commitment between a husband and wife to support and love each other for a life time. As you perform this release you are beginning your journey of a new life together.
