Wear a veil or not?

i am considering about whether to wear a veil or not , I have found one that is absolutely gorgeous and would suit my dress beautifully ,but all people said that you only need to wear it for the ceremony,do u think it waste money for buying a veil?

I wore a veil for our ceremony but took it off straight after... do you have any pics of the one you like?

There are no rules! If you find one that looks good with your dress and you want to, go for it! You can wear it just for the ceremony or the entire night, your hairstylist will be able to work it in to your style however you want to do it! And don't  feel like you must have one if you don't want one or can't the 'perfect' one! I didn't wear one, and I still felt like a bride :)

I didn't wear a veil, but I do think they are beautiful. I went with a flower in my hair that I wore down and wavy (beach wedding),but some woman don't feel like a complete bride without it. Wearing a veil, I feel, is a very personal choice so do what your heart desires or you will regret it later. Besides you don't HAVE to take it off for the reception, you could always fix it to the back of your head if your wearing an up due, depending on what type of veil it is (you would have to attach it to a clip or something). Or if the money is a concern, sell it after the wedding to get some $$ back :0)

If that is what you want then buy it and wear it. I agree there are no rules.

There are absolutely no rules when it comes to wearing veils! I was originally not going to wear a veil until the consultant at David's Bridal put one on so I could see the whole vision. I started crying because the veil is what actually made me feel like a bride. On the day of, I was going to take my veil off for the reception, but I loved it so much, I kept it on. It is totally up to you!

Ditto Tressy...I absolutely loved my dress, but the veil made me feel like a bride. Also, since yours is long like mine was, ask your bridal shop about bustling it. They can add a hook and sheer loop so you can bustle it up like the train of your dress and wear it all night if you want.

I kept mine on for the whole day, loved it. How is it a waste of money, when it will be in all the photographs forever? :) It really makes you look and feel like a bride. I say, if you want it, get it, and who cares what other people are saying, it's your wedding.

actually, I have a beautiful tulle stole i can use as a veil for a few shots, but for the rest I wont wear any veil.... because my dress is so simple and a veil on top of it made me feel like the madonna....  i felt like a nun not like a bride. but there are many girls for whom the veil makes IT. it is just as individual as the dress and all the rest of the wedding. do what you feel comfortable and beautiful in.veils are gorgeous, but not everybody feels them
