one of my gf's hubbies workd for costco - and they had a costco-rriffic wedding!

he even bought their rings at costco

they actually had it at a winery - so you couldnt tell it was costco - but they saved a bunch of $$$$

I agree with Desert about the taste of their birthday cakes.  I have no idea about how well the cakes would turn out presentation-wise

I think they only do sheet cakes... I don't know though- definitely call!  I know I was looking into Publix for a while but ended up getting a really good deal from a lady named Paula at Cakes from the Heart in Marietta...you might want to check her out!

Genae....my SIL had a shotgun wedding and she wanted a "wedding" cake but nobody would make one in a day's notice. Even I have made tiered cakes before but not that fast. So I went to Sam's Club and bought 2 round cakes. On the way to the wedding, we stopped at Michaels and I bought the pillars that attach to the cake stand for a tiered cake, and some silk flowers. We propped one cake on top of the other and a family friend brought a cake topper. It was a "wedding" cake. But tasted great.... If I had more time, we could have made it a bit more visually pleasing, but $30 for a wedding cake that actually fed about 60 people was not bad lol.

Do they offer in all different types of flavors?  I am a Sam's club member...never been to costco but sounds like I need to.

If I had a last minute wedding I would only expect a sheet cake. You were able to give her a two tier cake! Maybe it's not your best work, but it is still awesome!

One of my vendors suggested in order to save money on cakes, we can get a small tiered cake from a bakery (like 2-3 tiers) and then get a large sheet cake to serve to our guests as well.  My friend ordered her sheet cake from Costco and she said it was good!

even if they dont "officially" do wedding cakes - - -  just order all white with the "stuff" you want right (dots, designs, swirlies)?? who's gonna know??  theyre not gonna write anything on it b/c you'll have a cake topper anyway right ;-)

just dont stak them yourselves b/c you need the proper "cake engineering" to do that otherwise the layers will fall into each other

instead, you could order say 3 round cakes, and display on 3 differnt stands or something??
