Wedding Cake pricing

Ladies,

Can you please tell me how much do they charge per slice/guest? I don't know what the normal price would be. Thank you :)

It will depend on what you decide for frosting, decorations, and size.  For a 3 tier buttercream, not sugar flower work or details, I would say $2.50 per slice at a minimum.  Once you start doing fondant, sugar work, and add more tiers you are looking at $5 - $10 per slice.  Look around because there are plenty of good bakeries out there that will work with your budget.

It definitely will depend on what you want (buttercream v. fondant), how many tiers, how much decoration, etc....I have a pretty simple cake and only 75 people.  Definitely decide what's more important to you on the cake.  Lots of people hate fondant, so that's a lot of money saved...good luck!

If you havent found a reception site, look for one that has a cake option. Such as where I am having my reception the location uses Kim Cottage Confection! Super Yummy

I definitely don't want fondant and will probably have less than 100 people. I do want a simple cake with a pretty ribbon. Thanks for your help :)
