Wedding dress salon/ Bay area

Can anyone recommend some wedding dress salons in the bay area? I am gonna check out Glamour Closet, and need to add some others to my list.  I live in Sac and am gonna go to SF this Sat. so trying to hit up a few while I am there.

TIA

Trudy's is a place with a ton of dresses. Also, send Kohler44 a message, I know her mom has a bridal shop in the area and sadly, it is closing, so you might be able to get a good deal? There are a number of designers who also have boutiques in the city. Sounds like a fun day!!

Marina Morrison!!!!!  Best bridal salon ever!  It is so gorgeous, great selection of beautiful gowns, and very sweet bridal consultants - Rebecca was fantastic.

Many people like Jin Wang, although I wasn't a fan when I went - the consultants seemed less experienced, dresses not displayed as beautifully (and seemed kind of dirty!)...but it is on the same street as Marina Morrison, so doesn't hurt to check it out.

Unique Bride in Burlingame is also supposed to be good (never got around to visiting, though, because I found my dress at MM very quickly!)

P.S. Amy Kuschel is also supposed to be fabulous.

i bought one of my dresses from trudys in san jose/campbell - are you staying in the city or do you want to drive the 45 minutes to san jose to check it out??

also - trudys has a great selection - but weekends are nuts - make an appt for sure!

depending if youre taking the 5 then 580 to the city, kohler's mom's salon is in stockton - so if that's the way your driving,m then it's on the way

if youre going 80 - then it's kinda out of the way kwim??

What are you looking for?  Designer, more economical?

THere's some reviews on here http://www.projectwedding.com/vendor/search?category_id=3&region=northern_california
and I found Yelp to be very helpful as well.

Here's some notes that I compiled on a couple just in the city.  If you want more in the East Bay I have that too.  I got my dress at Trudy's (south bay, campbell)....there's tons of reviews here on them.

Oh have you tried House of Fashion in Sacramento?  They have an outlet store too where they send samples for discounted prices.  I went to HOF for a Jim Hjelm trunk show, and was impressed with their selection.  It was a madhouse cuz it was on a weekend, AND a trunk show, but since you're local you can probab go on a weekday and get a better experience. http://www.hof-sac.com/

I am not sure what I want to spend, but if I could get a sample or used designer I am cool with that. Otherwise probaby economical...probably no more than 2k???

d1rtymart1n1: Yeah I probably won't be able to get to San Jose this trip unfotunately. We are not gonna stay over night either...maybe next trip :)

Thanks for all the recommendations...I will print this out and make some appts :)

I have tried HOF and found one I really liked, but it was 5k...I should go back to browse some more...I haven't yet checked out their outlet, but that's another spot I have been wanting to check out.

oh then you want to avoid bridal galleria, haute bride couture, and marina morrison.  i just read reviews on MM here and their gowns start at around $3000.  but JD can correct me if i'm wrong since i've never been there.

i've also heard of alexandra bridal, but i think their range probably starts around $3000 just looking at the designers they carry.  couldn't hurt to check though..i love the designers they carry.

MissQ is right - the gowns start around $3000 at MM, but then get pretty dang expensive once you start adding lace/beading/rhinestones etc.  I've heard of Alexandra Bridal too - might be a good place just to try on silhouettes.  If you get a chance to go to San Jose sometime, I'd second d1rty's rec of Trudy's - it's not as "fancy" per se, but they have a HUUUGE selection of gowns and I thought the consultants were very nice and competent.

Bay Area Bridal is great.  Everyone there is really friendly. Plus, if you get your gown there, all other apparel is 15% off.    Its in Cupertino, on Steven Creek Boulevard.    Prices range from like $500 to thousands.   I got my gown there, plus the BM dresses, and my mom bought her dress there too.
