Wedding & Honeymoon in Jamaica ???

I'm planning my wedding next year in Jamaica -Ocho Rios or Montego Bay. Can anyone recommend an All Inclusive venue to accommodate 30+ friends & family ?? Realy would like some sunset pics, good food & affordable accommodations for my attendees.

I've been going to Jamaica every year since I was 9 years old. My parents have been going for 35 years. My mom was a travel agent, specializing in Jamaica for many years. I know a lot about it and I'm having my wedding in Jamaica this Jan. With that said please consider my advice with confidence and don't get upset if I say something you don't want to hear.

First off DO NOT have your wedding in Montego bay, unless you don't mind having no beach and plans flying over your head every 5 mins. It's cheap for a reason...unless you stay at the half moon, which is a beautiful hotel, but as I said earlier, bad location. Montego Bay is a more like a city, only there is nothing to do. You and your guests will HATE it!!

Ochi is not for me, although a lot of people like it. It's a very tourist based part of Jamaica, there is a lot to do, however the beaches are ok at best and there is more crime there then in other parts of Jamaica like Negril. This is defiantly the better option though, If it's between Montego Bay and Ochi. I stayed at the Riu in Negril and it was nothing to talk about, however I'v heard from other people that the Riu in Ochi is very nice.

I'm having my wedding in Negril, it's 45 mins from the airport, but well worth the trip. If your considering Jamaica, I would suggest Negril , the beaches have powder white sand and crystal clear waters. It is a magical place, way more romantic then Ocho Rios will ever be. The natural beauty is still prevalent, and there will still be things for your guests to do. If you want to see some photos of my venue, check out my Bio (keep in mind those photos are not the best). If you have any questions feel free to ask me. I will be more then happy to help you out. And if you decide to have you wedding in Negril I can give you the name of my florist, Photographer, cake maker, tell you were to go, what to do ect.. By the way Negril has beautiful sunsets =o)
