Wedding Recap Part1

Thursday, August 30th--I wake up and go shopping :).  I needed some outfits for Jamaica and just needed to get away and clear my mind.  I ended up finding wedding shoes that day.  They were cute, short, black with a bow.  I got a couple of outfits, 3 pairs of shoes and some makeup.

Friday, August 31st--I basically just woke up and I was all smiles all day.  My parents left early to pick up my dress.  I went to get the final payments for the banquets and some ink to print out my place cards.  Went to get my nails done and had some Starbucks.  After that I found out my brother stayed home which was good for me.  He drove me to drop off all the tequila bottles and everything we needed for the hall.  We also went to drop off the OOT bags at the hotel.  They let me check in to the bridal suite early so that was good.  Bridal suite was big and spacious.

I got back and started working on the place cards.  After all that work, the paper wouldn't feed through the printer.  So, I had to hand write all the cards.  I was so annoyed by this point.  By the time I noticed, my BM Jona was on her way to my house to hang before we headed out the rehersal.  When she got there it was nice to catch up and have a drink.  It was nice also to have David there and all of us just laughing and talking about randomness.

The rehearsal was at 7 p.m.  Most of everyone showed up.  Which was fine with me.  It lasted aobut an hour.  We went back to my parents and their ordered pizza for everyone.  It was nice to just relax.  By that time my cousin and her family got in from Georgia so it was nice to chat with them.  I started feeling jittery for some reason.  We hung out until 10 p.m. and left for the hotel.  Everyone kept saying why David was coming with me.  I just couldn't bare the thought of not sleeping with him the night before.

September 1--I woke up around 7 and left to get my hair done.  It took about an hour.  My 3 of my BMs got their hair done as well.  My friend Angie also showed up at the salon just to be a part of the festivities.

Got to the hotel and Lily (makeup) was already there waiting for me.  All I have to say about her is she did an awesome job.  I totally let her take control and she picked everything out. The only think I picked was the lipstick I bought and she said I picked the perfect wedding shade.

Videographer got there around 10:30 a.m. and he got comfortable and started shooting.  BMS got their shortly after to get ready.  Only of my BMs come dressed and ready to roll.  Which was good because she helped everyone out...mostly me.  Basically, I waited for my parents and my mom helped me in my dress.  We took pictures in the bridal suite and that was basically it.

Now for the random flaws.  My headpiece was heavy and was sliding down on my way down the aisle.  Since that was falling so was my veil.  By the time I got to David and sat down, my MOH was behind me taking my veil off.  Another woopsie was my makeup person was carrying my bouquet down from the hotel room and left it in the lobby.  So, I got to the church and was like where the hell is my bouquet.  So I said, who cares I will just walk down without it.  But my BMs just gave me all their bouqets so I just held them together.  The whole ceremony was blurr.  It went so fast.  I remember just thinking man its freaking hot and I hope my makeup is not running.  We didn't do the bubbles because alot of people didn't wait for us after the pictures, which I knew was going to happen.

Sounds like your days leading up to the wedding went smoothly.

I love how your BM's just gave up their flowers for you.  That is a good group of girls.  Sorry your bouquet got left behind.

That is too bad about the headpiece being so heavy.  I wore a headpiece at my bachelorette last weekend and it drove me nuts.  I'm so glad I opted out of one for the wedding day.

I can completely relate to not wanting to sleep the last night without FI.  I am going to have a really hard time with that myself.  I just get so used to having him beside me.  I know for nerves I won't sleep well the night before, and then add to the fact I'm sleeping without him.  Forget the idea of sleep.

Awww, congratulations again MRS!  Your BM's are so sweet to give you your bouquet. I would of been pretty upset if I didn't get my bouquet!
