Wedding Registry at Walmart

Ok, we live in a VERY small town and the biggest store we have is Walmart.  FI and I went to a bigger town about 30 minutes from us and registered at Kohls last night and then came back home and went to Walmart to register for some stuff in case people didn't shop online or want to go to Kohls.  We put all our information in the computer and then it said to take the print out to the counter to get the little scanner thing.

The lady told us that they didn't have the scanner thing and that we would have to do it all online!  WTF????

So we walked around the store and picked out some things so that I could get online and register.  Mainly just things like towels and dishcloths and things of that nature.  Now I am online and they don't have hardly any of the stuff that we had picked out.  The stuff that is similar says that it is not available in the store!!

Sorry I am just very aggravated with stinking Walmart right now.  Why can't we have Target, or anything, instead of Walmart???  UGHHHH!!

Oh no, how annoying!

The other problem I've heard with Walmart is that they cross registries (accidentally) because their software isn't good so you end up with stuff you don't want on there.

They rotate stock a lot too, so if you stay with the WM registry keep it updated!

Girl, I had to look at your bio to make sure you're not living in my town!  I live in a tiny town with just a WalMart, and we have a Kohl's 30 minutes away.  AND I noticed the other day that our WalMart has a sign saying they don't have a scanner for registries and you have to register online!  So frustrating!

We went through the exact same thing and we were SO frustrated! The good thing that comes out of that is that they let you return everything for store credit, so you can get the towels/whatever that you want in the store haha

ok... thats weird did she mean they didnt have any available bc they were being used, bc they're broken, or bc they just didnt allow you to register in the store? LOL. either way, thats a first.

Pinksanity~ They just don't have them...you can still register there, but you have to do it online and they do not have any of the same stuff online that they do in the store.

I'm in the same boat, Mrs. M.  My parents and his both live in (different) tiny towns with nothing but Walmarts.  I have been very frustrated with the registry, too, because I can't register for normal stuff.  Grrr.
