Wedding Speech Help!
I just got asked to make a speech/toast at my friends wedding Saturday. I have never given a toast before at a wessing and really want it to be sincere and sweet. How do I get started?? She's been one of my best friends for a year or so.
Anyone have any advice?
Is this decent?
I propose a toast to Trisha and David whose love has brought us together today. May you always know happiness, joy, peace, understanding, respect, devotion, fidelity, faith, goodness, kindness and love. May your days be filled with laughter and may your nights be filled with romance. May every day you spend together be even better than the last.
To Trisha, you have only been in my life for a short amount of time, but yet, I feel like you’ve been by my side for years. You have grown to be one of my best friends, one I can trust and depend on when I need a helping hand. Your laughter and enthusiasm have served as a daily reminder of what is good and happy in this world. May you never forget the happiness you feel today and know that you have given that same happiness to all of us who have been lucky enough to have been touched by your presence.
To David, thanks for giving me hope that there are good mean in this world. You have welcomed me as a friend into your life and always make me feel at home when I’m around. I pray you find joy in Trisha’s love and company on a daily basis and appreciate all the blessings God has given you. Remind yourself daily, that you have been given an amazing companion to be by your side. May your love for one another grow more and more each day.
May your marriage be full of blessings, happiness, and true love. I love you guys!
