Wedding with NO flowers

I have decided the only flowers would be for the wedding oarty . What would you think if you attended a wedding with no flowers except for what the wedding party has at the ceremony? Our reception will be full of candles but not flowers.

I personally LOVE flowers in a wedding. Even the simplest flower makes me happy. lol But I also LOVE candles! I think it could be very pretty! I'm using mostly baby's breath for flowers at my wedding. Then some pinecones and candles as well (:

i have seen on tv a bride who was highly allergic to all flowers and she had candles only at their reception.  it looked so lovely.  for me it is about the atmosphere of the place.  if it looks special with the candles, then i am good.  i have been to weddings where they had flowers at the reception, but it was like 2 gerber daisys in a bud vase and 2 tea lights.  the tables looked awful.  i would have prefered a few pillar candles in various heights over the flowers and candles they had.

I agree with krosa. It really does depend on the atmosphere of the venue. If you can't do a vase of flowers you could always do a candelabra. Or vases of different height with water and floating candles. It can all be done beautifully with or without flowers.

I only had flowers for my BP and I thought it was just fine. :) I'm not a flower person so I didn't make flowers a big deal.

Krosa and holly's suggestions are great!

The website below has a few ideas of candles that you could use for your wedding.  Some pictures have flowers but you can eliminate that and replace with lanterns or anything else.

I am not a fan of flowers (I only had my big paper rose for my wedding) so candles would make me very happy!!

My SIL also chose not to use flowers apart from for her BP and instead used driftwood (which she polished and bore holes into for tea lights) as her CPs - it looked beautiful

It's your day remember ;)

We are not having any flowers.  I am not a huge fan of flowers though.  I'm still a little stuck as to what to carry and for the girls.  I was thinking clutches but they aren't on board with that.

Thanks ladies. What I've done is started saving empty jars of all shapes and sizes. I am lining the center of the tables with them. I was just hoping it wouldn't look too bare
