So, I had my sono Friday at 35 weeks 3 days Hunter weighs 8lbs!.... 8lbs!! Shew! Since he's so big I have to go for NST's twice a week now. otherwise I'm hanging in there with the gestational diabetes.

Tuesdays my follow up with the diabetes doctor & my NST and then Friday is my weekly appt with the doctor and another NST

Oh and I'm having contractions today that I can actually feel & time! Hopefully they don't stop and get stronger :) they are 5 minutes apart now and have been going on for an hour :)

@Christy- Wow! Hunter's going to be a big boy! If you end up going full term (which sounds like you probably wont!) he could be over 10 lbs! Keep us posted on your contractions.

AFM- This is my last week home with LO. :( The hardest part is realizing this time of our lives is over and I will most likely never have so much time alone with her again. Luckily I do really like what I do but being alway from her is going to be a hard adjustment. I'm enjoying these last few days with extra snuggles.

I will be 11 weeks this Wednesday and I have been pretty miserable the last week. Have no appetite, and some days get sick multiple times a day. I have times when the minute I put something in my mouth I get sick. I really hope it gets better! Plus, now I have fatigue so I have been feeling super unproductive.

You ladies are so lucky to not be in your first trimesters anymore! Can't wait to be able to have my baby here to snuggle :).

Ditto milkgal - @Clips, keep us posted on those contractions!! It sounds like he might be ready to meet you before 40 weeks! @Milkgal - Wow, time really does go by so terribly fast! You are lucky that you enjoy what you do. It will make it a tiny bit easier to go back... tiny bit.

Me - I am currently in my 23rd week & things are somewhat uneventful. Besides my slowing pace & a constant achy back/butt, I have been dealing with awful heartburn recently and am in the processes of narrowing down what it is that is causing it to be SO bad. It is literally 'painful'. My Dr cleared me to take Zantac & it has worked wonders when I need it. Other than that, this little guy is growing at a rapid pace! I feel like I have doubled in size in just the past 2 weeks. I am on track with my weight gain, but I have to admit, I had a complete meltdown the other day about how uncomfortable I am with my body. Its not the scale that has me tripping out, it is how 'soft' I have gotten ALL OVER. Pretty much, I will not be wearing that bikini that I swore I would rock with my belly out this summer :( My tiny bikini bottoms are a thing of the past... and so are shorts & anything that goes above the knee... seriously, its not pretty. Although, I know that the outcome of all of this is going to be the most amazing thing to ever happen to me, I cant lie to myself about how I feel :( I am anxious to meet this little man-baby & get back to my old pre-preggy body (or something close to it).

Still having contractions but not time-able anymore. Pretty much what I expected to happen but I'm still super excited that I finally had some regularness to them!

Milkgal- it won't be easy getting into a good groove with work and baby and everyday life. But it only gets better with the kiddos as they get older :)

Mar- I feel your pain with the heartburn! Mine is out of control too, although I just take a boat load of tums and they seem to work for me.

Congrats aunt MNM! Lol that will be great to have cousins so close in age :)

Hi ladies! Glad to hear you're all doing well.

@clips: how exciting, you are so so close!

@milkgal: enjoy it to max these last days at home! Thinking of you!

@dennys: I hope you're feeling better soon and get your energy back!

@Mar: I've had some bad heartburn too the last weeks, especially at night, it made me wake up. I hope it gets better for you! I feel you about getting bigger and about everything becoming so soft.. same over here - no tiny bikinis this summer :-(

@Murph: Congrats on the birth of your niece, that's so exciting!

AFM: I'm 26w5d and all of a sudden I feel huge! The LO is moving a lot and I love the feeling! My glucose test of last week went well, nothing on this side. I'm glad cause I have really really bad cravings on chocolate and all sort of biscuits :-)
We're still working on the nursery, but it's only getting together very slowly. Hopefully the LO will not come as early as Fabrice (He came 34w!), otherwise DH will have to finish by himself like then... But so far everything is good, so I'm confident about that :-)

Morning ladies! Glad to hear you're all doing well :) @clips, you're so close! You're gonna get to cuddle your little boy in no time!

Not much new for me. I'm 34 weeks now and I'm so ready to have this baby! Which is funny because our shower isn't till next saturday so we still have mostly nothing lol. We're just getting so close it's hard to be patient :)

Physically, I'm still doing ok. The fatigue is coming back for sure although it's not nearly as bad as it was in the first trimester, so hopefully it doesn't get that bad again. Sleeping is difficult, trying to get settled in a comfy position with a huge belly, on top of being hot ALL THE TIME haha. But I'm loving how much my boy moves around! He must be long cause I can feel him very low and all the way up to right under my chest. So far, everything has been going great in this pregnancy, with no problems, so I'm very thankful for that.

@Christy - So no more regular contractions, huh? :-) 8 lbs! That is amazing for 35 weeks!

@Jen - I can't believe your maternity leave is almost over. That FLEW by! I can only imagine the mixed emotions you are feeling. My close friends have told me so many touching stories about going back to   work after spending 24/7 with your baby. ENJOY this last week!

@Denise - I am so sorry to hear you are feeling sick. Ditto Laurie (MNM) - it definitely might be worth looking into getting some medication for the really bad days or in case it gets worse before better.

@Mar - I can completely understand where you are coming from. I haven't really had anyone to talk to about my changing body/feelings, and it can be lonely. Most times I get a generic response from people like: "But it's so worth it!" Which OF COURSE we all know!! :-) And you don't want to complain or take away from the miracle of pregnancy. But that doesn't mean the other concerns aren't real. I just tell myself that my body is doing what it *has* to do and that it knows what it needs during this time. And I hope that I can motivate myself in a healthy way to get into good post-pregnancy shape - whenever it happens :-)

@Laurie - Congrats on your new niece! I really like that name! I have been seeing it a little more often lately, and it's so pretty.

@Olivia - I'm so glad to hear your glucose test went well! I hear you on the chocolate cravings. I have had zero desire for sweets all pregnancy, and all of the sudden the last couple weeks I am having fierce ice cream cravings!! :-)

@Lauren - I know what you mean about the shower stuff! We have one more small shower next weekend, and after that DH and I are going on a serious final shopping spree. I'm so anxious to have it all done! I could copy your entire paragraph about how you are feeling, too. I always forget our due dates are so close! :-)

AFM: I am 32w2d, and I am definitely feeling big/uncomfortable. It is really hard to find any position that is comfortable these days - sitting, standing or laying down. Ha! In fact, DH and I decided to scale back our baby moon plans for this upcoming weekend. We think we would rather just relax at home and enjoy one of our last free weekends. So we will be doing a quick overnight trip on Friday and then coming back home. Overall I can't complain about much - even the aches and pains seem like they are pretty normal for this point. A good night's sleep would be heavenly right now, though! :-)

The week itself wasn't bad for me, except Friday was pretty brutal.  First of all, we had to euthanize one of our cats; we had her for only a couple of months, and she was amazing, but last week she started getting sick.  We took her to the vet, they ran some tests, and we found out she was positive for both feline leukemia and FIV (the feline version of HIV).  We couldn't allow her to continue suffering, so we made our decision, and it was difficult.

Friday was also my 12 week OB appointment; the good news we received is that all of my blood work came back great (except I'm mildly anemic, which has always been a problem with me, so I definitely need to take iron supplements), but we received some bad news.  I have had issues with high blood pressure for many years and was taking medication for it but stopped when I found out I was pregnant because I was unsure of what the medication would do to the baby.  Since then, we have tried two different medications and have upped the dosages on both, but it's still not getting the blood pressure under control, so he informed me that I need to see a perinatologist.  He recommended two who share an office in a town about 30-40 miles away, and fortunately one of them is covered by my insurance.  The other good thing is that I discovered that many of the women in my church have used him and all of them said that he was wonderful.  So I feel good about that part of it, but DH and I are still very concerned.  See, nearly thirteen years ago I suffered a miscarriage (or a stillbirth, since it occurred in my second trimester).  I was young and stupid and told no one about it, so I'm not quite sure what caused it, but knowing what I know now, I'm thinking may be I had issues with my blood pressure then and that's what caused it.  I really don't want to have to go through all of that again, so I'm hoping that something can be done.  Hearing the words "high-risk pregnancy" are so scary, and I just want to be able to have a healthy child and a pregnancy and L&D without complications.  I know that worrying does no good, so I'm going to keep on moving forward and try not to worry.

I'm so sorry about your kitty, Christina :-(

I hate to hear that you are facing a tough health situation. I'm glad that you have heard some good things about the specialist you are going to see. It is really good that they were able to identify this early and get you some special assistance. I know you are probably very worried. Maybe just try to focus on one day at a time. Every day that goes by is another day that your baby is healthy and growing. I am hoping for a very healthy pregnancy and LO for you! {{{HUGS}}}
