Just figured I'd start a post since its Feb 1st to see how everyone is doing! Cant wait to hear how everyone is doing :)
We made it to the half way mark!! whoop! whoop! 20w down, 20w to go!
We had our 20w sonogram this week, Hunter is still being stubborn and is laying with his spine up so they couldnt see his heart to get what they needed. So we go back in 2 weeks for another sono to see if he's in a different position to get what they need. Bonus for me bc we will just get to see him again :) Right now he weighs 14oz!
Symptom wise heartburn has been fierce!! and its getting a tad bit more uncomfortable. but we are surviving!
Did my glucose test- and passed- my blood sugar was 78! I liked the drink spite what lots of people say...it tasted like flat orange soda! Still made me burpy- but that was it. I think waiting an hour is the worse part!
We have a 4d u/s in a week.
And still on the hunt for another outfit for maternity pics which are set for the 17th of this month!
He is doing well moving all over- and his hr on tuesday at my ob was 150. :)
I am sore in my belly- but that is normal...he is stretching me out!! Can't believe there is only 3more months to go!
27 weeks today!
I did my glucose test this morning so I dont know if I passed yet or not and had my 2nd Rhogam shot right after so my arm and my hip hurt haha. *I had the fruit punch flavored one and must say I could have drank another. I didnt think it was that bad at all.
I see the midwife on the 6th for my last 4 week appointment and then start my appointments every 2 weeks. Yikes, it's coming so fast!
I scheduled Childbirth classes this morning so we have those to look forward too. It should be interesting, my younger cousin is pregnant too and she's in the same class. She's a little on the airheady side so it should make for a fun class.
As far as how I feel, I'm getting more and more uncomfortable. I can't seem to get comfortable at all at night to sleep. I now get up at night to pee, which irritates me haha. I like to get in bed and stay in bed. LO has been kicking up a storm so that helps make all the annoying stuff more tolerable. Now we just need to get our nursery started! haha
Hey ladies! I'm so so so happy this morning! We just had our first u/s and our little bean is at the right place, has a fast hearthbeat and is measuring exactly what he's supposed to at 7w5!!! DH & I were all teary eyes when we saw our baby for the 1st time this morning. Make the pregnancy so more real to us!
As for symptoms, nauseas are getting worse each day...especially at night. I'm seeing my Dr. on Wednesday so I'll ask for Diclectin.
@clips: Hunter is a wise boy...I'm sure he knew you'd like to see him once more!
@Youngbride: Can't wait to see those pictures!
pavez; thats so awesome! congrats :)
youngbride- woo hoo! on passing your glucose test!! I had GD first go around, im hoping i dont this time around. maternity pics will be fun! cant wait to see them.
auntTate- fingers crossed for your glucose test! ohhhh i didnt take any childbirth classes last time so youll have to let me know how it goes
Today, I am 18w4d and I'm feeling some kicks! I've been feeling tiny flutters here and there for about 3 weeks but last night, I was laying on my side watching tv and I felt some very distict little kicks! It was the first time it actually felt there's a baby in there so that was very exciting. I also just got over a really bad cold-- I had a low grade fever and body aches for the first 3 days so that was really hard only being able to take tylenol to keep that under control. Being sick really sucks, but being sick while pregnant is THE WORST. I was worried the whole time that little one was being affected by everything going on and you're only allowed certain meds so that was difficult. But luckily I'm feeling a lot better now. It's turned into only a little cough and stuffy nose. Other than that, not much else to report. Glad to hear all you ladies are also doing well! :)
futuremrs- thats so exciting :)
@clips: Halfway? Woohoo! Hope the heartburn subsides soon though!
@Young: Great job passing the glucose test! Can't wait to see pics from the 4d u/s!
@AuntTate: Will be keeping my FX that you passed your test too! And I can't believe you are coming up on every other week appts already. That seemed fast!
@pavez: SO excited you finally got to see your little bean! I am sorry to hear about the nausea, I am strugling with that right now too! Hopefully we both get through it FAST!
@futuremrs: Sorry you've been sick but how exciting that you are feeling kicks!! I can't wait to get to that point and DH is anxious for it too!
AFM: I am having a really rough go of things right now. I had what I thought was going to be my only appt with my regular ob/gyn yesterday since I will be moving and he basically did nothing b/c I am leaving. We STILL haven't HEARD the heartbeat, just got to see it on the u/s. I was really hoping to hear it, but no such luck. Dr gave me a script to get the nuchal screening done, but the timing of it was supposed to fall just after I left for VA and before the new insurance kicks in so I am not sure what is going to happen there. THEN I got a call about the job I thought I was starting saying I am not really going to start at the end of feb and they aren't sure when I will be starting. Of course I just found an apartment last night so we will now be paying a mortgage in NY and rent in VA and I will still not be working. And to top it all off, the nausea has hit me like a ton of bricks over the last couple of days. I almost wish I was vomiting b/c I feel like I would at least feel better afterward instead of having nausea and reflux for hours on end. I am trying not to stress too much b/c stress in me = migraines and I can't take migraine meds while pregnant. I know all of it will be worth it in the end, it is just tough right now trying to figure out the appts, tests, and everything I need to do for a healthy pregnancy while also planning a big out of state move when the date keeps changing. Hoping it all comes together soon! Thanks for letting me get that all out :)
I'm 33w2d and time is flying by! We went to a 3D US last Saturday and the baby was stinker! She kept her hands and feet in front of her face and if she moved them it was to get closer to the placenta. Here is one of the good shots they were able to get.
My body is getting a lot more achy and sleeping is a nightmare. But every time I feel her move it makes me smile :)
DH and I are already making plans for what we absolutely have to get done next month including getting the car seat properly installs just in case she arrives early!
I cannot believe my baby will be here in less than 7 weeks!
MNM: I totally agree on the vomiting part!
Girls, how long does it take for the glucose test results to come back? I did the test today and see the Midwife on the 6th. Think they'll have them by then?
Pav: That is so exciting! Do you have pics?
MNM: ugh all that sounds so stressful! I hope you get to hear the hb soon- maybe go buy a doppler yourself! I know some of my friends could hear it pretty early on those! Try to be relaxed bc stress is bad!!
AT: the nursery is the fun part- get to it! lol. My results were posted to my patient portal in two days- I can access all my labs and such through my doc! So they should have yours by the 6th.
AT - I took my test on a Friday afternoon and they had the results saying I had failed by Monday 10am. They never called to say I passed the three hour one but I saw the results online withing 3-4 days.
@YB Totally agree on the flate orange soda. Not bad, if you ask me!
@AuntTate Good luck with the childbirth classes! They are so worth it. At least for the DH :)
@MNM I'm hoping for the best for you! FX that you can hear the heart beat soon and that everything else works out.
So far, I think I'm at 28 weeks. I know I'm bad, I stopped keeping track as I start nesting. Things are coming along, I'm feeling great.
Wishing the best for you ladies!
MNM- How far along are you now? You normally cant hear the heart beat until 10-12 weeks. Hopefully everything works out for you, it all sounds like a lot to handle :( Why are you guys moving from NY to VA in the first place?
milkgal- 7 weeks!! Holy cow, that will be here before you no it! so excited for you!
AuntTate- When I failed I knew the next day :( When I pass a test they just wait till my next appt to tell me. Fingers crossed you passed!
I am 8wks/1day today and I get to see our baby via u/s this afternoon!!! I am a ball of anxiety, but so excited to see this little-bitty heartbeat.
I finally have started to feel nausea. I was a bit worried why I wasnt feeling anything, since both my mom & sister had it beginning week 6. But alas, it came... Although I dont have it half as bad as most, I get it primarily in the evening & morning. First thing I put in my mouth today was gingerale...
I have also been getting horrible back/butt pain - which i can only pinpoint it being my sciatica. Its crazy how painful it is! I hope & pray it doesnt last throught the entire pregnancy...
The bloat... its horrible! Some days, I wake up & my tummy is flat as a board, but by the evening, I look like I am 4 months pregnant!
I have been a bit stressed lately (because being in early preganancy isnt stressful enough). Regretfully, the week we found out I was pregnant, our landlord informed us that he is moving back to our house in CA from WA with his family. Very unexpected since we have only been in our house for 6 months... Luckily he gave us till July, but we wanted to waste no time in finding a place since finding a rental single family home in Coastal San Diego in summertime wouldnt be the easiest things to do. Not to mention I would be 7 months preggo... So we will be moving March 1st! However there has been so much headache with this one particular house that we (amongst many other potential tenants) placed a holding deposit fee down with our application. Well we decided that we wanted to pull out since the process was not running as smooth as we had hoped, but they ended up cashing our check & are now trying to make us sign the lease & move in even though we found another place! Hence, why I have been stressed.
I am so thrilled to see all these updates! I want to see your bumps in the bump thread!!!
Thanks, ladies. The nurse at my dr. office was surprised to hear that they didn't turn up the u/s machine so I could hear the HB. I had no idea they could do that (I totally thought there was a different machine for that). I have another U/S coming up soon so I guess we will get to hear it then.
@christy - we are moving b/c I was offered a job in VA. They originally were looking for me to start by the end of December (before I was pregnant), but things keep getting delayed. I just finished law school in May so it's time I start my big girl job and pay off those loans, even if the timing is a little awkward. I'm sure it will work out, just wish I had a better idea of the timing so I could plan. I just love to plan :)
ah i gotcha! Well congrats on the new job :)
Good luck Cheeky! Cant wait to hear how your sono goes! and good luck on the move.
Good luck this afternoon, Mar! Sorry to hear you are going through moving hell too! It's always stressful to deal with, but during pregnancy is the worst! Hope that gets works out fast!
