Spring/Summer 2012 Baby Bumps!

Weekly update - June 4th - 10th

Am I the only one who's a little freaked out that it's June already?  Time is going so quickly!  How is everyone this week?

I'm 34w1d and still feeling great. I don't know if it's how the baby is situated or what but I honestly don't feel any different than I did in the second trimester.  I'm a little bit more thirsty than I was a few weeks ago and the movement I'm feeling is more spread out (like in different parts of my belly at once, not just isolated in one area) but otherwise, I have no complaints.  I'm sure this won't last so I'm trying to enjoy it.

I go on Wednesday for my next OB appointment, I think I'm getting the swab for the Strep B test.  Then I'll be going weekly after that - next week I'll get an ultrasound to check for baby Y's position. We were going to do our hospital tour today but something came up so I think we're going next week instead.

Any baby shower photos, nursery photos, belly pics to share?  My belly looks the same but I'll post a photo later anyway.  How are you ladies doing?

You are definitely not the only one that is freaked out that it's June already! I can't believe in 9 weeks we'll have our baby girl here with us! And I'm definitely hoping it's sooner rather than later :)

I'm 31w 3d today and am feeling MISERABLE! I have been dealing with some absolutely horrible, debilitating sciatic nerve pain that makes me cry harder than I've ever cried before in my life. Thank god for my DH - he's stayed home from work several days to help me to and from the bathroom. I even sat on the medicine ball during my shower on Saturday b/c I couldn't stand up without having excruciating pain :( I'm really hoping this baby girl decides to come sooner, more like the 38 week mark. And since she's breech right now maybe they'll do a c-section at 38 weeks. Never thought I would want that but I just can't deal with this pain for much longer.

But other than the pain things are going well. We have all of our nursery furniture - my DH just has to get motivated to start putting it all together so that I can start decorating :) I can't wait until it all comes together!

And I had my shower on Saturday and it went WONDERFUL! I'll post a seperate post on that in a little bit :) but it felt so great to have so many wonderful women be there and spoil my little girl rotten! her closet is definitely full to the brim lol

I hope everyone else is doing well :) Can't wait to hear your updates!!

Yep, time is flying! I am 33 weeks. I don't think she has flipped to head-down yet, but I am still hoping! We are still just getting things in order for her arrival. Not much else is new.

I also cannot believe it's June already!  I only have 1 more month to go (hopefully)!

I'm 35w1d today and things are still going along fairly smoothly.  We had a growth ultrasound last week and babe is head down and measuring at 5 and half pounds.  We got a good look at his face and he gave us a cute yawn!  He has chubby cheeks and the doctor said everything is looking great for how far a long I am. I also had them confirm the gender and he is still most definitely a boy- lol!

I have my baby shower this weekend, which I'm really looking forward to!  Can't wait to just chat with some of my friends and family and enjoy some time before our LO gets here.

Our nursery is also coming along.  My mom finished sewing all of the bedding this weekend and I hope to show you ladies some pictures in the next couple of weeks!

Veronika- I have the crazy thirst too, must be pretty common near the end.  I can't stop drinking water.

Andrea- So sorry you are having to deal with awful sciatic pain.  I hope you find some sort of relief!  I saw the pictures you posted on FB too- your little girl has soooo many clothes, It's going to be SO fun dressing her up :)

I'm only 24w3d but the fact that it is June is also shocking to me. The past week was pretty uneventful pregnancy-wise, so that's good. I feel really good. I can feel the baby kicks higher in my abdomen. I have my 2 hour glucose tolerance test on Wednesday morning. I mentioned before that this is a phobia for me so I'm freaking out. I will be so relieved when it is over.  Hopefully I do not have GD.

Andrea - You poor thing! I hope you find some relief during the rest of your pregnancy. Could a chiropractor or massage therapist provide some help?

Hi Ladies,

Sounds like all of you are in the home stretch. Andrea I am sorry you are in so much pain.

:( I hoping that baby comes earlier rather than later for you. Sounds like the rest of you are doing great which is quite impressive at this stage in the game. Hope it continues. My BFF flew in with her 1 year old daughter this weekend and we had so much fun with our kiddos. I wish she lived closer.

And in other news...for the first time this morning when Cash woke up and saw me he smiled this HUGE smile like he was so happy to see me. He totally recognizes me now. It took my breath away and my heart melted. Best thing EVER!!

Have a great week girls. If we aren't friends on Facebook yet, please add me Candice Whiteley. I love keeping updated on everyone's pregnancies and babies. xoxo

Thanks ladies!! I love having this support group from all of you :) It's so great to have! Today was a better day for me - I went to the chiropractor first thing and that seemed to help. I've been going to her twice a week and I'm also seeing an ostepathic doctor. And I'm hoping I can gte a referral to start some physical therapy too. I'm trying everything!
And yes, Nina - this baby girl is extremely spoiled!!! It's amazing how many clothes she has! I LOVE it! :)

Candice - I bet that was SO sweet. I can't even imagine how much love you must have felt for your little guy at that moment! I can't wait for that :)

Hi Ladies

34 weeks 4 days...yesterday my dentist asked me when I was due and I said "Next month" (HOLY CRAP NEXT MONTH!)

Sadly Tuesday was my last (pregnant) run.  About a mile into my 3 mile run I started having pain in my lower belly, pelvic bone region.  I decided to keep on going to see if maybe I would settle into the run but no, the pesky pain never went away.  I've run marathons...half marathons...triathlons...I know the difference between "Oooh I'm sore" and "Holy Sh#t that HURTS!" so although I'm stubborn and finished my 3 mile run, the pain I felt during and after was a pretty clear indication that it's time for me to hang up my running shoes until the little lady makes her appearance.  Until then you can find me power walking or huffing it out on my new friend the elliptical machine :)

I start my weekly appointments next week and I have to say I'm pretty jealous of all you ladies that get another ultrasound! I asked at my 34 week appointment and the OB I saw that day said that unless there is a problem, the next time I would see my little girl would be when I'm holding her in my arms :)  Bummed I don't get to see her again but I definitley don't want there to be a NEED for another ultrasound either!

Other than that things are moving right along :)  Hope everyone has a great (and pain free) week!

Andrea - I'm sorry to hear the sciatic pain is so bad!  I'm glad that your chiro is helping, hopefully it won't be this way for the next few weeks.

Nina - I can't wait to see photos from your nursery and your shower!

Jackie - I hope your glucose test goes smoothly tomorrow!

Candice - I love that story - so cute that Cash recognizes you now.  That made me a little teary eyed, I won't lie.

Becca - I am almost there with you with the running.  My runs are getting slower (which I didn't know was possible) and shorter and I fear soon enough I'll be stopping altogether as well.  I have a 1.5 mile loop very close to where we live that I've been doing but even that seems like a stretch some days so it'll be power walking for me too.

Hi ladies!

I'm 34wks and 6days and cannot believe it's already JUNE!! I said to DH the other day "do you realize we're having a baby NEXT month? For the longest time time felt like it was passing by slowly but now all of a sudden it's ZOOMING by! I started feeling a little uncomforable lately and sleep is definitely getting harder to come by. I also got up twice to go to the bathroom last night for the first time -uggh! I'd only been neeeding to go once up until then.

Luckily my last day of work is tomorrow! I've been feeling beyond exhausted these last couple of weeks at the end of the workday so I'm so excited to just rest! I was originally going to work up until 38 weeks but am happy that I decided to finish earlier.

We set up the bassinet in our room a couple of days ago and have it ready on my side of the bed -we wanted to prepare our first "baby" -3 year old black lab Bella before Megan arrives since she's used to sleeping on the floor right where baby will be. We also set up our Uppababy and took it for a spin around the apartment -love it so far! It has so many adjustments/buttons so we want to get used to them before Megan arrives.

We also spent the gift certificate that a bunch of the families at my daycare gave us -the majority of it was spent on the Mamaroo swing/bouncer -which I wanted then decided it was too pricey for the length of time we'd be using it for -but it was DH that convinced me surprisingly enough! He thought it was so cool so I hope Megan likes it! We got it in this pattern:

Hi ladies I m photo 3361802-1

That's pretty much it from me! Hope everyone has a great week :)

Hi ladies!! I am definitely feeling anxious as I'm due next Wednesday!!!! The time is flying!! I had some blood this morning and afternoon and have been feeling crampy off and on. I went to the midwife yesterday for my appt and everything continues to look good and the baby is in excellent position.

I am behind in posting pics from my two bridal showers so I will try to get that done and the nursery is not 100% done yet but very close. I will post pics of that when it is finished.

My mom just arrived yesterday so she will be helping me out with last minute things and cooking and cleaning.

Andrea, I hope you start feeling better and can get some relief!

Nina, I can't wait to see the shower pics either!

Candice, I loved your story! That had to be such an awesome feeling!

Becca and Veronika, you both still rock in my book!

Best wishes with the glucose testing Jackie!

Hi all,

Almost 34 weeks!!! Just had my biweekly checkup and thankfully LO turned head down! All is well, getting very tired though.  Had my baby shower on Saturday and it went great!! We got almost everything we need, definitely alot of the big ticket items.  Have to make some returns for those who bought what they felt like...haha.  We also received some doubles as items were not taken off my registry.  Just got a phone call that our crib and dresser are in and will be picking them up on Saturday, our nursery is almost complete!  I have my 34 week growth scan next Friday and that may be my last ultrasound of the baby so I am pretty excited to see him/her.
