Spring/Summer 2012 Baby Bumps!

Weekly update - May 28th - June 3rd

Good morning ladies!  I hope everyone had a lovely Memorial Day weekend (for those ladies in the States).  Looking forward to the updates from everyone, mommies to be and new mommies alike!

I'm 33w1d and really not much to report over here.  I saw my OB last Wednesday and I'm measuring right on track - my next appointment is in two weeks and then weekly after that.  I'm surprisingly comfortable, no trouble sleeping yet except that I'm starting to get really warm at night.  It doesn't help that it's been 85+ degrees here in NY the past few days!  I think my belly had a growth spurt, I'll post a picture later on today.

Otherwise, just slowly getting ready and counting down to mid-July.  The furniture from the nursery arrives in two weeks. DH and I have our solo weekend coming up - we're not going anywhere but we set aside this weekend to hang out just the two of us.  We're usually super busy with random plans for races, family or friend gatherings that it will be nice to have a few days just for us.

Hope everyone is doing well - I think we should have some more new babies this week, good luck to everyone!

Good Morning! I am 32w1d and we had a busy Memorial Day. We tried to get a bunch on our to-do list done since we are quickly running out of time! Still not even close to finishing the list though. We will try! We had a doctor appointment today and the dr had to bring out the u/s machine because she couldn't tell if she was head or butt up. Well the u/s showed she was breech! Doc said most babies have turned by now and it is possible she still will still turn, but we will monitor it every appointment. I am not pleased with this news, but what can you do. Hope everyone is well!

Hello Hello!!

33weeks 5 days here, still feeling good for the most part. I have a killer back ache today but I have a feeling it has more to do with sleeping on an air mattress at the family camp over the holiday weekend rather than how pregnant I am ;)

DH and I headed back from our holiday weekend a bit early so we could make our last big ($$) baby purchase and we are now the proud owners of a snazzy new super spectacular Bob Revolution SE.  After dropping that pretty chunk of change we headed over to Carter's to take advantage of their 70% off sale....big trouble I tell you...B I G trouble.
(Side note-- Nothing warms my heart like watching DH carefully pick out clothing for his baby girl<3).  So it was a pretty expensive detour on the way home but that was the last big ticket item we needed....thank goodness!

Not much else to report...feel great...still running....still hate chicken....still having a love affair with Lime popsicles--> just the norm up here in Maine :)

HOpe everyone else is doing well!
Nancy--> do they think there's a chance that LO will flip or are they talking about a C-section?

Hey everyone!

I am 34w2d and feeling alright- my feet and hands are starting to swell a bit which sucks.  I also made DH buy an air conditioning unit for our bedroom because I'm so hot during the night.  It seems to be helping me sleep better.

We had our maternity pictures taken this weekend, I made a separate post with some of our sneak peaks on it.

I have an ultrasound this week on Thursday just to see how the babe is growing and to get a good look at his positioning.  I feel like he still moves around a lot! He was head down for about 3 weeks and I think lately he has been on sort of an angle with his head near my hip and legs up towards my ribs- weird position if you ask me!  The doctor said they don't really start worrying about position until 36 weeks though, so we will see what happens in the next couple of weeks.  I'm sort of excited to see him again, since it's been so long since our last u/s at 19 weeks.

Our nursery is pretty much complete!  I just have a mirror to buy and we are waiting on replacing a couple of windows in our house, one of which is in nursery. Then I can show you ladies some pictures.  I painted the mobile this weekend and thought I'd show that to you guys.  We are doing a simple giraffe and elephant theme:

Hey everyone I am photo 3358709-1

It's sort of hard to tell from the picture, but the elephants are all a different shade of grey.

Anyway, hope everyone has a great week!

Nancy, I hope your girl flips soon!  I think my doctor does that ultrasound around 36 weeks.  Though I've been feeling hiccups all below my belly button so I think my baby is head down...though I'm not sure.

Becca, we ended up getting the Bob Revolution SE too!  After going back and forth forever about it DH said we should just accept that we are runners and it's something we'll get a lot of use out of.  My best friend (who never ran until I got him into it a year ago, now he's run 3 half marathons) actually got it for us as a gift which is so awesome.  On a different note, I am also loving lime right now!

Nina-- I commented on your other post but it's worth saying again...your pics came out beautiful!

Veronika -- I know alot of runners who went with that stroller and from what I've been told we won't regret it ;) I have to say you have a VERY nice friend!!  DH and I happened to have about $200 in gift cards left over from our wedding that we used to buy the stroller so we didn't feel the hit as badly, and we bought it at LLBean which has a lifetime return policy if god forbid anything happen to the dang stroller (hooray!).

Mmm Edy's Lime popsicles....yummm & hello craving!

There is a chance she will flip - there is still enough fluid for her to. I plan to do all the exercises and tricks, so hopefully she will flip! Fx!

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to say hi, not much new here. Just a bit sleep deprived. ;)

For the ladies that bought the BOB you won't regret it. DH just said to me yesterday...this is the best thing we purchased. It is so easy to manuver, great for my walks/ eventual hikes and especially good for you runners. IT is worth the money for sure!!!

SoonMrs.P I love that mobile it is so cute!

Mainebride...try not to worry about LO being breech right now. You have until week 36 or 37.

Have a great week ladies!

xoxo

Hi ladies!

I'm 33wks and 6days and starting to feel a little uncomfortable. It's horribly humid here in Toronto (feels like 35degrees celcius!) I haven't had any swelling yet -my rings are still loose -but I wake up once a night every night to go to the bathroom which I guess isn't too bad. I forgot to mention in my last update that the parents at the daycare where I work got together and made me a card (about 30 families!) and contributed toward a gift card to a fancy baby store -$350!!! I couldn't believe it -no way did I expect it at all -but it was so nice and much appreciated. I already spent about $80 of it on 4 onesies (did I mention this store is expensive?!) and we'll probably buy a swing there soon.

I'm now down to part-time, work 3 days a week and off Thursday and Friday until next week then I'm DONE!! Woohoo! Couldn't be happier though I know I'll miss my kids a lot -I'll probably shed a few tears next week no doubt. That's about it for now- DH and will be moving to Nova Scotia for his work in October so we're trying to figure out some logistics -will be interesting to move so far with a 3month old and a rambunctious dog!

That's about it for now -going to go make some lunch and enjoy the AC in my apartment before heading back to work. Have a great week girls!

Hi girls

I'm 32w 2d today.

Still feeling awful and supper uncomfortable. LO is measuring 2 weeks ahead so it looks like we are going to do an amnio at 37 weeks to see if his lungs are mature and if he can come out early. my fingers are crossed that they are. I am ready for him to come out. every part of me hurts.:( We ordered our stroller! Its supposed to be here tomorrow I can't wait we went with the black this time which I haven't seen in person yet so I can't wait. The new crib and and extra changing table for the dinning room so we don't have to wake up Kip if he's napping or sleeping will be here saturday. All the baby stuff is out and washed and we are finally getting there hooray!

Veronika and Becca My sil has the double bob and loves it.

Hi All!,

32 w 5d today!! My baby shower is this Saturday, June 2nd and I can NOT wait!!!  Just got off the phone, all pre-registered at the hospital.  Next appt. is June 6th and than I have to go for my 34 week growth scan on June 15th.  I have been feeling ok, still have that "pubic" bone pain especially if I stand or walk alot.  The heat has been a killer here in NJ so I am definitely looking forward to some relief! I have about 2 and 1/2 more weeks until school is out and I am counting down the days.  Oh, I also went maternity clothes shopping this past weekend, as I definitely needed some summer stuff.  Well I think that is it for now, glad to hear everyone is well!

Hi Ladies,

I have been so busy with work/weekends that I haven't updated in a couple of weeks (I think?). I am 23w4d today and feeling pretty good. Last week I felt faint, gassy and constipated (sorry TMI!). I hadn't felt that bad since the first tri. It was very hot in So Cal so I think it took a toll on me. This week is much better.

On Mother's Day weekend my MIL and Nana-in-law bought me a bunch of maternity clothes.  I am grateful but also feel a little uncomfortable accepting gifts. I felt especially uncomfortable having to model the clothes for everyone while wearing the fake bump. For some reason it was difficult for me to see myself with this large bump, it sort of freaked me out.  Then I had to show everyone and I felt more self conscious. I think it won't feel that way when it happens as a gradual progression.

Two items of (small) bad news from the doctor last week...I have partial placenta previa. I cannot lift heavy items or run/do aerobics. Worst of all, I have to be on pelvic rest for 7 more weeks until my 30 week scan! I thought this sounded a bit conservative but I wouldn't want to do anything to harm him so I'll stick to my orders. The other piece of bad news concerns the GD test. I have a ridiculous phobia of having my blood drawn/IVs. I thought I would take the one hour test first and if I didn't pass, I'd have to take the three hour test. The Dr. informed me that due to a high rate of false positives, I will be taking a two hour test (3 blood draws). I started crying a bit which surprised him. When he left the office, he jokingly tapped my husband on the arm and said, "God help you." I'm sure I'll get through it.  Like I said, minor complaints but I'll do anything to make sure LO is ok.

Hi girls!!!

Yesterday, May 28th was DH and I's one year anniversary! We spent the weekend in the Poconos and got home last night from our anniversary/babymoon trip. It was amazing! I'll share pics.

I am 38 weeks now so time is flying by. Hubby is finishing putting the dresser together as we speak. Still have to put up the mirror and touch up a couple spots of paint. I have washed all the clothes she can fit right now so that I can put them in her dresser.

My hubby is so thoughtful and got me a gift certificate for a full auto detailing as one of my anniversary gifts! I can't wait to get my car cleaned.

I have my birth center bag packed.

I still have more clothes to buy for the baby since most of what she received in gifts were bigger sizes and do some other last minute things.

I have an appt. with the midwife on Thursday morning so we'll see how it goes.

I love the elephant mobile!! Elephants are my favorite animal! I'm coming to hang out in your baby's nursery!

Don't panic yet Nancy as she still has time to flip. Check out spinningbabies.com!

Congrats to all for making progress in their nurseries and last minute tasks!! Can you believe our little ones will be here before we know it? : )

Hello ladies!

I hope everyone is doing better than me :( I have had a rough few days! I've been dealing with this sciatic nerve pain that is very debilatating! I'm 30w 5d and I really hope these next nine weeks fly by fast or even better that this pain would go away completely! It sends shooting pains down my right leg and brings me to my knees and has me crying my eyes out :( I've been seeing the chiropractor so I'm really hoping that helps. And my DH has been AMAZING! He worked from home yesterday so that I only had to get out of bed to pee. And he came home for lunch today - took the dog out, made me lunch, and went to my chiropractor appt with me. I cannot ask for a better husband - he has been absolutely amazing! I can't wait to see him as a dad :)
But on a positive note - I have my baby shower this weekend and I'm SO excited! I've been registry stalking so I know that we already got some of our big ticket items! Woo hoo!!!! I cannot wait :) Hopefully this pain gets better before then though or I'm going to be miserable!
