Our Weekly Thread, ladies!
*waves* Hi Becca!
I'll start! This week we are pretty much just waiting to hear back about DH's job. (He had that third interview last Friday) It's SO nervewracking!! We will definitely know if he gets the job by the end of the week, so still fingers crossed and if you can throw in some positive vibes!! TIA!!
And of course, Valentines Day, and then Friday I am doing that photo shoot I mentioned in the main forums a few weeks ago. I get to get all pretty and wear my wedding dress on Friday!! I'm so excited :) That's it. And I have a big paper due on Sunday so I will be working on that thursday and saturday b/c we're busy every other day!
Hope everybody is having a good week!!
Elise: I keep my fingers and toes crossed for DH's job! Hope he gets the job!!! And wow, you're so lucky to do this photoshoot! It's so exciting and amazing that you get to wear your dress again. I can't wait to see the pics! :-)
This week is emotional for me in two ways. I try to make it short. On Monday when I went to pick up LO at daycare the responsible girl told me that my MIL came to daycare just before lunch time to bring cake for the kids. This is very nice of her, but she didn't call before and they are not used to visitors. Basically anyone could go and say that she is someone's grandma. Anyway, I mean it's really attentive and nice to bring cake. But it's very rude towards me and DH to tell the girl at daycare, that she doesn't get to see Fabrice enough and that's why she would pass by and say hello. I mean what the f*** (sorry) was she thinking!?! She gets to see him regularly but she always wants more. She is never happy and since the day the LO was born, she continuously makes me reproaches about this (on every occasion, on the phone, when we visit, even on Christmas). I'm so over it and I was so angry on Monday. Already before LO arrived she tended to always put her nose in anything we do. You can imagine, I'm very sensitive about it and I just get angry. And she doesn't get it! DH said he would talk (again) to her to stop. I wonder if it will work, honestly I doubt it... I don't like to talk bad behind someone's back, but she really incorporates the annoying and mean MIL! VENT END!
Yesterday then I had the complete oposite of feelings :-) And I'm so happy, aswell as DH! As most of you know we are expecting our second LO. Yesterday we got the results of all the blood work and everything is OK! I'm 12 weeks and I already start to show, so know we will announce the pregancy (we decided to wait to be sure that everything is ok)! WOOHOO!
Oh, and springtime is not ready to come, it's snowing since 1 week here :-(
Wishing you a great week!
@Elise -My fingers are crossed your DH gets the job! How exciting that you get to wear your dress again! Can't wait to see pics :)
@Olivia -That must be so frustrating about your MIL -I guess that's one good thing about my and DH's families being far away -too much time together can get to be a little taxing. Congrats on your new bean! So glad everything looks good :)
As for me, we're starting to think about getting ready for our trip to England on the 18th (so I guess the next time you'll from me on this board is when we get there -hopefully all in one piece lol) It's totally different trying to prepare for a trip with a baby -she has a LOT of stuff for being so little! Car seat, stroller, clothes, bottles, etc... I may have to pack light so we can fit everything (or pack her things in DH's suitcase ;)
Hope everyone has a fantastic week!
Hey ladies. Sorry for my extremely late goings on. Last week I missed because I was helping DH get ready for his business trip and this week...well, it was not the best (at least at the beginning).
@Elise - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for DH - I hope you guys hear something SOON! I am sure you are on your way to your photo shoot, so I hope you have an amazing time!!! Don't forgot to show us the pics when your photog has them done. : )
@Olivia - Oh sweetie, I can't even imagine how you must have felt when you were told that about your MIL going to the daycare. I hope that they change their policy. I hope DH is able to get through to her this time. I will keep you guys in my thoughts for this. YAY for the new addition. I'm so happy for you!!
I could not agree with you more about being ready for spring. Tonight it is sleeting and supposed to change over to snow.
@Steph - You have to be so excited...just 2 more days until you go to England! I can't wait to see all the pics from your trip. Enjoy each and every second of your trip!!!
As for me, this was a trying week. DH went on a business trip Sunday evening through Tuesday afternoon. I thought I was going to be okay being here in our home by myself. For the first few hours of being here by myself, I was good, but for whatever reason, I started having an anxiety attack. I didn't get much sleep the two days he was gone. Wed - today, I've been playing catch up cleaning the house and getting prepared for these storms that keep showing up every 2 to 3 days.
We did have a very nice Valentine's Day dinner and I made heart-shaped Rice Krispy treats, which was fun. DH took the rest to work today and he said they didn't even last 2 hours in his breakroom. LOL.
One awesome piece of news is that we so close to being where we were in 2011, shortly before he lost his old job. All of our hard work has definitely paid off, so this weekend, we are doing some reorganizing because I believe we will be able to start doing some renovations and I want to be all prepared when the weather starts to get better. : )
