Good morning my fellow married gals!!! Here's our weekly thread!
Looks like I am the first to post! So happy it is a new week. I got stuck at my second job on Thursday on a double, got off at 7 am and had to be to work at primary job 8 am. I got extended for two more weeks to job coach this gentleman, so I did that from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. Passed out when I got home, but hubby woke me up by kissing me while putting food in my mouth. Lol. I had Navy Reserve Drill this past weekend and I am soooooooooo ready to get out!!! My lieutenant is once again stressing me about having my hysterectomy surgery when I have other medical issues that are more pressing! When I got home, hubby had dinner waiting for me! Didn't get to see my hubby too much these last couple of days, so planning on going to the Olive Garden on our date night this Wednesday. Still on the look out for a rheumatologist. They seem to be rare! Purchased tickets for us to go see Alvin Ailey Dance Group on March 23 so I am so super excited about that! We are planning a small 50th wedding anniversary dinner for my in-laws on Saturday. It is a surprise and I hope they enjoy! We were originally supposed to give them a huge party at a hall but they fussed at us so badly about not wanting it that we didn't do it, so I hope they are not too upset with the dinner party.
Hope you all have a fantastic week!
Hey Tressy!!! It sounds like you have a lot of awesome things on the schedule for this week! : -)
I can't imagine your lieutenant being so pushy about that, because as you said, you do have more pressing health issues to take care of. Can your PCP give you a referral or maybe call your local hospital to see if they can offer a suggestion? I don't have any doctors in Michigan that I transcribe for, so the only assistance I could offer is doing a web search. : /
Can't wait to hear all about the Alvin Ailey Dance Group and how your in-laws' party goes. Take lots and lots of pictures. :-)
As for me, today DH started his original work schedule (1 to 9:30 p.m), so I am trying to adjust mine so we can spend a little bit of time together in the morning before he leaves for work. This weekend was a little exhausting because DH did a DJ gig for his cousin and we were out until 3 a.m. BUT I had fun getting out of the house, so it was worth it. I'm preparing for our lovely winter storm that is coming tomorrow through Friday. I also cooked dinner last night for DH (he usually does most of the cooking and I do the baking) and we had firehouse chili, which was amazing. I'm hoping that I will be able to teach myself to be a better cook because this is something I have always wanted to learn. I can cook, but I want to be more versatile with choices. I am also working on some craft projects and I am guesstimating that they will be done by Sunday, so pictures will be posted. : )
Other than that, I'm just working and getting ready for SPRING! I have had enough of the cold now. LOL
Have a wonderful week!!!
Hey Becca! Finally found a rheumatologist that is not to far from my job. Appointment is March 20th. Looknig forward to warmer weather but my skin is not. I am already getting the itchy psoriasis patches on my arms and hands. Ugh.
Chili sounds amazing! Was it spicy? DH loves chili but I am not a big fan. Can't wait to see your craft projects! They said we were supposed to get snow starting yesterday, but none has come yet!
That is such awesome news Tressy! I can't wait for you to get to see them!!!
I didn't make the chili spicy because DH doesn't like it too spicy. I actually had it again for lunch today. :-)
Hi ladies! I'm late this week, busy as usual :-) LOL@Tressy: So glad you have found a rheumatologist! And how was your date night with hubby?
@Becca: Can you post your chili recipe? I love chili, not too spicy though :-) I also like to teach myself to be a better cook and try/learn new things. Can't wait to see the pics of your new craft projects.
As for me, not so much news. I got to hear little bean's heart beat last Tuesday and it was so amazing! I had goosebumps. All is fine on the babyside. Fabrice is doing great too, he tries to say new words and that's so sweet. Also he will be walking soon by himself I think. DH will be back tomorrow after one week of hard work at the Geneva Motor Show (he unfortunately couldn't be here the hear the heart beat) and I can't wait to see him. I felt a bit lonely this week, although I met up with some friends on Tuesday night and yesterday my mom was here. This afternoon I meet a friend and her LO who's the same age as Fabrice. We always have a lot of fun :-)
TGIF!!! And have a great day!
Date night was wonderful minus the food. We went to the Olive Garden and nothing I ordered was appetizing. I was so disappointed. Besides that, enjoyed being with the hubby! Awww!!!! You got to hear the baby's heart beat. How precious! P.S. I love the name FABRICE!!!
Hey Tressy! I'm sorry the food wasn't good... That's a bummer when you're on date night...Even if it's a good restaurant, you never know what you really get and you can always get the cooks bad day...
Becca, would love to get your Chili recipe! :-)
