Hey everyone! I'm looking for some ideas for welcome bags for out of town guests. Any suggestions?
We used the white gable boxes that are white from Mr. Take Out. I also included a welcome newsletter and items from the area to go in the boxes.
I still have a box left over if you would like to buy them from me, PM me if your interested - at this point I want to get rid of them. :)
Here's my blog for mine http://www.projectwedding.com/blog_entries/70660
I used simple white paper bags from Michaels with string handles, which I wrapped ribbon around - I can't find a picture of the actual bag right now, but they we' re pretty cute!!
Thanks for the feedback ladies! Any suggestions on what to put in them?
I got carried away with mine, but there is a list on my blog
here is what i included:
we didnt have alcohol at our reception, but if you were going to have some at your reception then i would include stuff to combat a hangover. i dont know where you are getting married, but including something special from that area is always a nice touch. be sure to explain that in the welcome letter. if you where getting married at the beach in summer time or in the mountains during fall or winter then i would recommend adding lip balm. for the beach i would also add sunscreen. i tried to think practically. if i were in a hotel i would want a snack, so i provided a snack. I would also want fresh breath for the weekends events, so i provided gum because not everyone like altoids.
hope this helps
We used some Vera Bradly reusable grocery bags and filled them with goodies. We had bottles of water (I put DIY lables on them too). There were nuts, gum, chips, chocolates etc.
Only one person so far is from out of state and she is a bridesmaid so I'll be sure to make her some type of welcome something (:
