Oh I am so sorry to hear that Samantha.  You shouldn't feel bad at all.....I am sure you paid a bundle, and if half of your photos can't be used, then you deserve to be compensated for those pics.  I'd still love to see them :)

WOW....Wasn't there a thread on here about someone looking to be a "free" second shooter to build her portfolio?  Is it the same person?  Thank god for your friend!

I'm so sorry you're disappointed in the photos. It's not easy to deal with when you can't go back and have another wedding. Give it a little time to get all of the photos downloaded. The big gray areas could be an issue that will fix itself when all of the photos are downloaded.

While blurry photos can't really be fixed, you can do a lot with poorly composed photos. There's strategic cropping and color correcting that can make a seemingly crappy photo look professional. Even turning a photo into a dramatic black and white can make a world of a difference sometimes.

Once you get everything downloaded, I'd be happy to help in any way that I can, especially if you don't have access to Photoshop. I have a few Photoshop Actions that can help or I can do some sprucing myself. No charge, as it's sad that this photographer has been such a disappointment despite all the hype she gave herself.

If you feel like there are still some photos you'd like to have of you and your DH, you can always consider getting all beautiful again, getting DH back into a tux and hiring a photographer to take photos of you and your DH. My DH and I did that because our photographer didn't take many of just the two of us. It's something to think about.

Good luck and I'm glad you had your friend there!

I'm so sorry you pictures aren't what you wanted. Maybe you and your Hubby can have a TTD session (with another photographer obviously) and get a few great shots of the two of you. I love this pic of you two that your friend took!

I m so sorry photo 96772-1

I think that's a good idea. Put your best attire back on and have photos taken by another photographer. Usually a portrait session is a lot less expensive than a wedding, usually only around $200-$500 for two hours. This way you can have the photos you want to frame and put on your mantle, you know?
