What are you doing for catering?

Lets hear what the budget savvy brides are doing for catering! Are you doing a buffet, serving something fancy, doing dessert only, cake only, cooking it yourself, have a family friend helping out, coffee, alcohol, etc?

My family is amazing and is doing the potluck dinner.  My FI and I are providing the salad, dressings and rolls as well as pulled BBQ pork sandwiches (yeah for GFS) and everyone else is providing:  cabbage rolls, meatballs, shredded chicken sandwiches, veggie trays, cheese trays, macaroni salad and potato salad.  I am ordering pizza from a local mom and pop shop (yumm Wally's Pizza) and my FI is doing our cake.

For little money we are having a yummy yummy meal!! Best part it will all be made with love!

We'll be doing a buffet style dinner, where FH & I (along with the help of friends and family) will be cooking. I'd like to have a candy bar/dessert table, but it just depends on what we can find/make easily.

Our catering:

We are having an "Afternoon Tea Party" reception. We will be having fruit and veg plates, cheese, mini sandwiches, a smoked fish, and lots of dessert (including s'mores!). $15 per person (including corkage for all the non-alcoholic beverages we want -- FI and I don't drink, so we aren't having a bar) at 150 people is about $2250. Their gratuity is low as well. Some places wanted 30%! *eyes bug out*

Our cake will be done by our caterers. It will be simply for cutting and dessert at our formal dinner. Small, maybe two tiers. Not sure on flavor yet. MIGHT cost us $250.

Our formal dinner will be about 15 people at $25-$30 per person. Max of $500 on the actual dinner.
