What are you doing in your Nursery?

I want to hear, okay well read, what you are doing or planning on doing in your LO's nursery!

Pictures please!

Here I am at 34w3d and nothing has been done in the baby's nursery. *hangs head in shame* DH and I have always been excellent procrastinators and this has been no different.

We have looked at things for the nursery but it is SO hard! Our biggest hang up, which I think we are thinking too hard on, is the flooring. The room currently has extremely stained carpet from the previous owner. DH would like to put laminate in her room. We started out looking for a whitewashed floor and have only found a few that I would consider but the prices are ridiculous! I think we have finally found a floor that is darker then what we were thinking but neutral enough to go with anything theme we do now or later.

DH is extremely handy and is wanting to do something like the picture below, but of course the floor needs to be in first.

elegant pale pink baby girl nursery reveal wire princess bench

I'm wanting to do similar colors as the picture above (light pink & Grey).

I think once the floor & molding are done we'll be well on our way. I have come to terms that the room will not be ready when she arrives, but of course she'll be in our room for a little while but I'm sure that time will fly!

I love your colour scheme! I wanted to paint her room light pink when we first moved but we ultimately decided to keep it the colour it was -a medium green. I HATED it when we first looked at it but after putting her furniture in, which is all white/pink, it reminds me of a garden and I really like it now and she's almost 7 months. Here are some pictures:

Awwww Jackie! Congrats for your sweet little girl. I hope your delivery went smoothly. Can't wait to see pictures of your little princess!

As for the nursery, I'd like to paint the room in champagne/moka tones with all white furnitures. Then, if it's a boy, we'd had aqua touches and blush pink ones if it's a girl:

Awwww Jackie Congrats for photo 3449157-1 Awwww Jackie Congrats for photo 3449157-2

Our nursery will actually be in our room.  We're keeping our guest room as a guest room for our parents when they stay over.  DH painted that room coffee cream color, so when it comes time for little one to move in there, it will still be a nice neutral pallet.

Our room is colored Olive Branch by Benjamin Moore and is also a bit contemporary in style with espresso colored wood.  Opposite our bed and long the wall will be crib, changing table/dresser and possibly the glider.  Limited decorations but I'll add a mobile or mirror to the wall.  Bc it's still our bedroom, I kinda want to keep our room as an adult living space.

I wish I could post pics but none of this is ready yet...yike!

We're doing gray, white, and yellow.  And we haven't started either haha.  We at least picked out the colors though haha.  DH is hopefully going to start tackling it this week and have it done before the end of March.  I wanted it done before my shower but that's this Saturday and that won't be happening haha.  I'll post pictures as soon as we get started and get it done.

We are moving into a bigger house March 1st, so I am sure after we get in there, we can choose which room will be the nursery & my 'vision' can unfold :) I am obsessed with Pinterest & have found some pretty amazing nursery's that I am so excited to duplicate!! I think after we find out the gender is when I will really start the task of collecting things. In general I am a pretty neutral-color-type-person. I do like greens & golds for accents though. I saved these pictures a long time ago & I still find myself looking back at them often for ideas.

Colors if we have a Girl:

If we have a boy. I collect rustic/antique stuff: (Oh, I'm not having twins BTW!)

I love these ideas (and your nursery, shneffer!) I could look at nursery pics all day! They are kind of like weddings...if only I could do 10 different ones, they would probably all have 10 different styles :-D

We don't know boy/girl yet, but we have some ideas on colors either way.

If it's a boy, we are thinking teal, orange and gray (or some other complimentary bright colors). If it's a girl, we like teal/lime or teal/mint. We also can't paint our walls, so we will be relying on decals or other color splashes to perk it up. I really love neutrals, but since the rest of our house is very neutral, DH actually wanted to make the nursery a little brighter.

@Jackie: Congrats, congrats, congrats on the arrival of your little girl! I have been thinking about you. I hope all is well with mama, baby and your whole family. Hope you get a chance to fill us in on your experience! :-)

Congrats Jackie! Can't wait to hear more!

Pascale, I love your inspiration!

We don't know yet what we will be doing for our 2nd LO. Fabrice's room is very bright with lots of white and beige and touches of blue and yellow.

I did yellow and aqua for my older daughter's nursery. I loved it. I made all the bedding since I couldn't find what I wanted - its a big girl room now and I have switched a lot around but it was easy to grow with her.

Here was here nursery before we changed it around (and before we moved!)

I did yellow and photo 3449591-1

And here is this baby boy's nursery - its mostly finished. I knew I wanted it modern and boy without all the cutesy stuff which I am not super into. So its mostly white and grey (with Ash's crib and dresser and chair!) and light blue with orange. These aren't the best photos.... I took them after I hung photos up with my phone.

I still need to add the changing pad and the chair will have a new slipcover as soon as pottery barn sends it to me hence why that one needs to be ironed desperately - its coming off so I am just leaving it. We are also getting new blinds since one of the wood blinds we have is broken :( But thats a weekend project for my husband and I want a rug, but the one I want has been out of stock for a while so thinking I either need to pick something new or just forget it.

I'm like you Deb! I could look at nursery pix all day long! LOL I've been pinning inspiration on pinterest for a while and we don't have anything picked yet since we don't know the gender yet.

But whatever we decide it'll be minimal  since we are in a 1 bedroom for now and won't be able to paint. I often change my mind on color schemes so it'll be interesting to see what DH would like to see done. :)

LOVE all the nursery inspiration!!! :) @Kristinkay - that picture above the crib - the Let Him Sleep One - do you have a better picture of that?? I am in love with what I can see... if you can show what you put (your boy nursery is pretty much exactly what I would want if we ever have a boy) that would be amazing!! :) I LOOVE that nursery!
