What color bedside lamps?

Here is our room:

Here is our room photo 3127649-1

I think I am going to toss my DIY candle holders & the little amber lights.  Those lights are convenient because they are touch lights, but I am sure we would get use to traditional lamps.  What color...burnt orange?  Gold?  Cream?  Other?

Thanks!

I'm a bit addicted to C&B lamps, so I went looking there.  In the photo I think this lamp could work, and in one of their "real room" photos the room features burnt orange accents.

With dark wood bedroom furniture I always gravitate towards lighter colored lamps for a *pop*.  This C&B one is described as having a champagne metallic color ~ sounds like it could be really pretty and could work with your room.

Our bedroom is similar - soft wall color, dark wood furniture, gold/cream/brownish linens, and our table lamp is a sort of coppery-brown (I swear it matches!) with a creamy/gold colored lamp shade.

Love the idea of something a little more colorful, you have a lot of pretty neutrals in the room... but these would look amazing and really pop against everything!!

I like that first one too Allie :)  Or what about this?  Too big do you think?  Too busy?

I like the shade on that one, Mel. I think I said this on another post recently, but (in my opinion) it depends on the look you want. Do you want the lamps as accessories, or do you want them to blend with the furniture?

I actually like what FCTF described, or the second one Allie posted!

I like how the color is at the base of the lamp, and the shade is light. I think something like that would look great in your room :-)

I think the one you posted might blend too much with the furniture... If you are anti-orange, that one you posted with a lighter shade like the one Debi reposted above would probably look nice, though.  :)

Thanks.  I am not loving that one though.  Either of these work better?!

Thanks I am not photo 3129090-1

I wish I could see the copper one in a room!  It is pretty cheap so that's a plus, and could be fun but IDK!

Thanks I am not photo 3129090-2

I want them to stand out from the furniture a bit, but don't want the room to be "all about the lamps" either :)

The first one would look awesome!! Just enough color, but a fairly simple design so it won't take the attention away from other things.  I think it would look amazing with that pop of color.  BTW- are your sconces from World Market?  I think I have the same ones!! :)

@August-I like the ones I have too, but after 4 1/2 years I am ready for a little change!

@Allie-the sconces are from Pier 1

Ugh, I cannot decide!  I love the ones I found with the burnt orange & white shade, but they are $200 more than the orange shade buffet lamps Allie posted...hmmm...

I am a mess LOL!! Now I found this one, which is still more expensive than the pair Allie posted, but cheaper than the first one I posted.  This one is available at Lowes though & the others would all be ordered online.  It may be nice to not deal with online returns :/

Rankings?!

Mel, before you buy anything online, I'd hit up your local Ross, TJ Maxx/Homegoods, and Marshalls!!  I was ready to spend $200 on 2 lamps for our bedroom and I ended up finding them at Homegoods for $30 a piece!!  I also found 2 lamps for our front room and for Kylie's bedroom for the same price!!  All 5 lamps TOGETHER weren't even close to $200.  Another idea is to find some really cute lamps with a nice shape and a white shade, and buy some burnt orange metallic spray paint for the base!! :)  Try Target, even!!  They sell shades and bases separately!

Ah, ok!  Yet another trait I did not inherit from my family :)  I am not a bargain shopper at all, I almost always buy online or find something online & go to as few stores as possible to find it!  I have never even been to a Homegoods but I think there is one in Westminster/Thornton area.  I am pretty "spray painted" out after all those baskets and random other stuff lately...that will be a last resort.  Thanks!

LOL.  Mel, I'm the same way - not a good bargain shopper.  And when I find one, I'm ecstatic about it because it rarely happens.  I was looking through receipts yesterday and was glad that I had forgotten I spent over $200 PER lamp for our bedroom.  I love them, they look great, but almost $500 on two lamps.  Sheesh.

I can see it being addicting!  We don't have the same stores you do, but we have one called Home Sense where I've been picking up Riedl stemware.  I just need to remember to check these stores first, because I have been finding some "perfect" items!
