they were described as being laytex real touch flowers (which the real touch flowers from micheals look really real, but are about 4-7 bucks for a single flower) these are a lighter foam, not quite as real looking but so far all the responces have been postivie towards them. i would LOVE to have a bouquet that wouldnt wilt and could be displayed forever... but i worry about whether it will look cheesy in photographs or if i will miss having a "real" bouquet... any advice?

I have struggled with whether to do artificial flowers due to price and the fact that I can keep them forever. I have a friend that use to own a flower shop and she just did a girls wedding at work in artificial flowers and although they were beautiful I decided to go with real flowers. It's just my preference really. I would say compare the two side by side and then make your decision.

Yea, it's definitely a tough decision! They look great, but maybe take kimandbyrons advice-compare some side by side and see what you like best :)

Yeah maybe I will do that. I've just had difficulty getting a hold of a florist who will talk to me past two or three emails. >_< it's annoying!

They look nice! I'd say dress up and take some photos w/ them as well to see how they'd look.

Oh those look really nice. But did you know you can buy  real flowers from sams club or costco? or heres a direct from the grower site

http://www.freshroses.com/weddingflowers.html.

I thought you were going to make a paper flower bouquet or a ribbon one.

I thought I was going to make a pearl bouquet but it didn't happen. It was too complicated to make.

Were the instructions complicated or you didn't like the way it looked?

Those are gorgeous!! I struggled with the same thing, I thought it somehow meant less if I didn't have real flowers and my experience with 'fake' before wasn't all that good, I associated that with 'cheap'. But the cost savings for me was HUGE, on average flowers just for the bride, BMs and FG were about 1K, never mind decor!!! I got all of that for $460 just by using natural touch flowers. They were beautiful and I still have them to look at every day :)

And my photographer didn't know until haltway through the day that my bouquet wasn't real! So go for whatever look you like best - don't worry about missing out on not having real if that is your only hangup.

Zeuster, I really didn't find any instructions. I did a few trial runs and didn't like any. Then I discovered that it was because I was using the wrong stuff. A friend and I conspired and figured how I could make it the right way but by the time I got all of the supplies (not counting hours) it would be cheaper to buy one off etsy, but I wasn't sure as much as I love it if I would miss the flowers.

Sammy, where'd you get your flowers? Do you have pics?
