Meaning of the name Jan: Gift from God
I was named after a baby doll named "Tressy" that is like a barbie doll. You would pull her hair to make it grow or as they said, her long "tresses" hence my name "Tressy". My mom had this doll and told me I looked just like a doll when I was born!
The origin of my name originates from Ireland and is a surname that means "fierce" or "warlike".

the meaning of Monica is "advisor". Of uncertain origin. May be from Latin "monere" meaning "to advise", or from "nonnica" which comes from "nonna", the Latin word for "nun". Also possibly from Greek "monos" meaning "single, only"
Karen is actually a Danish form of Katherine, but the meaning of Katherine is disputed. A lot of references I have looked into give the definition "pure", but it's merely based on conjecture from the Greek word "katharos" meaning "clean" or "pure".
tressy you still look like a doll :-)))
Kathrin - it's a short vision of Katharina. The name Catherine is originally from the Greek female personal name Aikaterina. According to the german form of this name Katharina it means "the Pure" and "the Righteous." So same like karenrose's name meaning. I don't know why they choosed this name for me. My twin sister's name is Isabell - so I think Isabell and Kathrin sounds nice together for my parents :)
Manuel - this name is in Spanish, Portuguese and Greek the masculine form of the first name Immanuel. In the Old Testament Immanuel is the predicted name of the coming Messiah by the prophet Isaiah.
Oh and my saint's day is the 25th of November (next sunday) Katharina of Alexandria.

What a fun post, Jan! :)
Michaela (my name is spelled Micaela) is obviously the feminine version of Michael, which means "who is like God".
Tiffany- This name was traditionally given to girls born on the Epiphany (January 6), the festival commemorating the visit of the Magi to the infant Jesus. The name died out after the Middle Ages, but it was revived by the movie 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' (1961), the title of which refers to the Tiffany's jewelry store in New York.
