Our first dance was Frank Sinatra--Wonderful Tonight. Ultimately DH let me pick and I knew I waned something classic, and who is more classic than Frank! I did post a lot of songs here on PW and had the ladies vote. They were a big help!

Our first dance song was Charlie Wilson, There Goes my Baby. This song was a no brainer for us because we loved this song the whole time we were dating and it describes our love. I agree with Uhlease. Listen to some songs together and choose one that makes you both smile!

Our processional song is God Blessed the Broken Road. Our first dance song is You Had me From Hello because that is what my FI tells me all the time.

Ours was "When You Got a Good Thing" by Lady Antebellum. After our wedding, I found a beautiful song called "So Are You to Me" by Eastmountainsouth that I would use if I had it all to do over again, but such is life! Just go with something that you both love, and that describes how you feel for eachother. Every love is a little different:)

Our first dance will be "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica. I saw it on a list from this site and listened to it and I really liked it plus FI is a HUGE metallica fan :)

I had Jason Mraz's "I Won't Give Up" as our first dance song for the longest time but I think I recently changed my mind to Brad Paisley's "She's Everything." Everytime I listen to it I almost cry! Hehe. ♥

As far as a first dance song - pick whatever moves you! Maybe it's "your song" as a couple, or perhaps a song that holds meaning  for you in some way, or speaks of your relationship. Or maybe it's something that you both just really love!

For the ceremony music, if you have more 'traditional' wedding, there are several standards to play, like "Here Comes the Bride" or "Canon in D". (Google wedding ceremony music, you'll get an entire list). But again - it's all personal preference. If you feel your style is more contemporary, choose a mixture of songs you just really like, and that the party can move to down the aisle. It's pretty easy to find instrumentals of most popular songs online if you want prerecorded music, or work with your musicians to find music you like that they know, or can learn in time.

Our first dance song was "You're the Inspiration" by Chicago.

For our ceremony we had:

Bridal Party Processional: “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” – Elton John

Bride’s Entrance: “The Prince of Denmark’s March” – Jeremiah Clarke

Solo: “When You Say Nothing at All” – Allison Krauss

Recessional: Immediately after we were introduced as husband and wife, the musicians broke into “Signed, Sealed, Delivered”. But we walked back down the aisle to “Listen to the Music” by the Doobie Brothers

Here are more ideas from my Bio
