What Now?

Since the wedding I find myself a little lost! It took up so much of my time now i feel like i have nothing to do! Im finally getting back in the swing of things but just have this feeling like i should be doing something more productive in my downtime....anyone else go thru this?? Here is a few pics by the way. No pro pics so far. Heck if there even is any...

I'm worried about that...My wedding is in late March, and I've only had two months to plan....So it's been so busy and hectic, but what happens after? We have a big move in Summer, but until then....I'm going to be lost. Maybe I'll obsess over finding the perfect house, and the perfect tennants for our house we live in now...I don't even want to think about that stress! Hahaha! Enjoy relaxing in your downtime while you can! You never know what could happen tomorrow! :)

Post wedding is such an incredible adjustment! I think I went through a few months of wondering how do I spend my time? What do I do now? What can I craft? (haha)

My biggest post wedding project has been redecorating our home. DH has owned our place for 6 years and it is still bare! So I've spent the last year planning, crafting, painting and making it cozy. The best part? All of my wedding decor is now living room decor. It makes me smile all the time.

Beautiful pictures!

I definitely went through that too hahah. I loved wedding planning and once it was over... it was over! Nothing to plan! I was immediately thinking like "okay - how many years is it appropriate to have a vow renewal? What is the next event I can plan?" hahah

Once I got back in the swing of things (school, work, etc) it passed =]

This happened to me after my first wedding.  But after the second I was too busy to notice.  And it hasn't let up since!

I think it's different for everybody, but I would say immerse yourself in your hobbies.  Do you like to read?  I do, and Paperbackswap.com has been a lifesaver!  I also do a lot of other crafty stuff.

Good luck and I hope that "what next" feeling goes away quickly!

i totally agree with missjess485.  decorate your home or find a craft or hobby.  if you two want to have friends over alot entertain, then make sure your dh knows that it would make you feel more comfortable with doing this if you felt your home reflected you two.  word of advice...many couples want to redecorate their entire home when they get married.  they focus on the areas that guests will see and leave their bedroom looking worse than a cheap motel.  maybe get the living room fixed the way you want it, then do your bedroom.  you are there everyday.  plus, romance is important.

Gorgeous pics! Ahh I felt the same way right after our wedding last September. What will happen is that life will start to fall back in place and you will settle into being a wife instead of preparing to be one. I honestly felt lost for about a month after the wedding but then work and life took over. So just find a project to work on like your home, crafts, working on a wedding album etc and you will be fine! GL and congrats!

Gorgeous photos!!!

I know the feeling, I think all of us marrieds had the post-planning blues! Don't worry, now you can share all your experience and wisdom with everyone else here, you get to live your big day over and over :) Plus, you have your thank-yous, your wedding album/scrapbook to put together, some people go through and scrapbook all the cards you got or cut them up and do other things with them...you will still have some wedding stuff to do!

Heck, I was married over a year ago and I still have yet to put my guest book quilt together :)

Everyone kept saying that I'd be lost after the wedding was over.  However, I actually haven't missed planning.  Five months before the wedding I actually just quit planning and worrying.  We were engaged for about two years so if I wasn't ready after that time, I never was going to be.  It was nice to spend those last five months just focusing on us and relaxing.

First of all, YOU LOOK FREAKING FANTASTIC!!! Oh my God you were gorgeous and I love your cake! Looks like everything turned out wonderful!!!!

I didn't have that problem at all after I got married! I was really a bride who was happy that it was over and that is because I just wanted to be married! We are a very active couple so I was looking forward to being Mrs.Young doing more activities and planning our future. We are doing some remodeling to our home room by room. Hubby already replaced the carpet in our bedroom with a hardwood floor and in the next couple of weeks we are getting darker carpet for our dining room. We are planning on redoing the master bathroom to make it more modern and I am getting a jacuzzi tub finally! Yay!!! I love, Love, LOVE, get away weekends and anything romantic, so since we have been married we have been to Chicago twice and we are going in May for memorial day weekend. Got some romantic dinners planned as well as attending some concerts and having some get togethers. I alwasy have plenty to keep me busy!

Don't forget to continue to date hubby and keep it romantic!!!
