What's Everyone Been Up To?

Well, I have awesome news that I wanted to share with you awesome ladies.  I am learning to read patterns and have even made a few new things that I never thought I could have even last year.

What's everyone been up to?  Making anything for the holidays?

Hello Becca! Tressy is here! I am currently finishing up a chocolate brown and blue blanket for my friend who is expecting a boy this month. I also made a coordinating hat and sweater. I have to more baby blanket orders to do. A mint green alphabet blanket and a pink and blanket blanket. My nieces want me to make them sweaters for one of their christmas presents.

Ooooh, those sound gorgeous!!! I can't wait to see pictures.

I just finished up two circular placements for autumn (will add the pics in a little bit) and I am almost finished with my first adult granny square afghan for me.  I found this awesome color of yarn - coffee fleck - and I had to make myself a blanket before the cold weather comes in up here.  : )

I posted some pictures of projects I made for people in the introduce yourself. I will post the layette as soon as I am done with the blanket. I am almost done, just doing the edging and some tassels. I love aran fleck yarn! Where do you purchase the majority of your yarn? What is your favorite brand?

I just saw them!  Very pretty!

I usually get my yarn at Walmart since they are inexpensive, but lately they haven't had the colors that I wanted, so I have been going to AC Moore.  Michael's is a little far from me and with my crazy work-at-home schedule, it's been a little difficult for me to get over there.

Walmart was my number one choice but you are right, they haven't been having any colors I need, even the simple ones like mint green. I think they are going to end up closing their small craft section down altogether! I go to Joann's a lot now. They are expensive so I make sure I use coupons or wait until they have a sale. I love using Caron for my baby layettes and I use redheart as well too because I like the multi color yarns they have. What do you at home?
