What's your something blue?

Something old,something new,something borrowed,something new it's tradition for brides.

Something Old is meant to represent the link with the bride's own family and the past particularly mother or grandmother or even most distant relations. Something old is symbolic of continuity.

Something New represents good luck and success and the brides hopes for a bright future in her new married life.

Something Borrowed is to represent to the bride that friends and family will be there for her on the special day and in the future when help is needed.

Something Blue in ancient times is the symbol of faithfulness, purity and loyalty.

So, what are your something old, new, borrowed and blue?

My something blue would be the garter or nail polish.Others not sure now.

My something old:  A bracelet my mom received when she was in the 7th grade; I wrapped it around the stem of my bouquet.

My something new:  my entire wedding ensemble.

Something borrowed:  a penny from my grandmother; it was a last minute decision.  I really wanted a sixpence in my shoe, but it didn't happen, but a penny worked!

Something blue:  My bouquet and the blue nail polish on my toes!

@ moore807 I just have to ask if that is that a Ten Commandment bracelet?  If so I have the same one from my mom that she received when she was very young and then gave it to me.  My mom passed away 8 years ago and when I just saw that bracelet a flood of emotions swept over me.....good one's too :)  It is nothing valuable or fancy and has even faded over time but it has always been one of my most prized posessions.
