What was your something borrowed?

What was your something borrowed?

Right now, I hope I can borrow some old jewelry from my mom or grandma. Why not kill two birds with one stone?

My plan is to borrow a hair clip unless I can think of something better.

I am borrowing my sister's wedding dress (provided I lose another 5-7lbs in the next 8 weeks...no stress there!).

I don't mean to be macabre, but can you "borrow" something from someone who is deceased? I was planning on using FI's grandmother's brooch, but I just realized that FMIL gave me the brooch when we got engaged... Do you think that it's still "borrowed"??

I think it'd be ok. Just say your FMIL let you borrowed it ;)

I borrowed a diamond studded hair pin from my mother's friend who has been happily married for about 50 years. We wanted the good luck to rub off ! :)

I'm wearing a few things: My mothers wedding ring, my godmothers wedding band, a trinket from my late cousin, and something from my late Auntie.
