Where can I get some nice pants suits for bridesmaids?

Hi everyone,

My two bridesmaids are not the dress-wearing types and I need some elegant pants suits. I'm thinking something Katherine Hepburn might have worn would be really elegant and classy.

I am having trouble finding anything. Do any of you know where I might try?

Thanks so much!

J Crew! Brooks Brothers too. I also really LOVE Crombie suits.

Here is a fabulous Crombie suit

Brooks Brothers:

JCrew:

adrienne vittadini too, I own a few of their suits, very sharp.

Fa?onnable too

Carolina Herrera also has excellent quality suits

I own many suits, and from all of these. My favorite is Crombie - the quality is top notch for off the rack. They are very well tailored. I feel the same way about Fa?onnable, I love my suits from there. I love Brooks Brothers for a more traditional cut suit. Adrienne Vittadini, I own a couple of their Italian suits, not bad price for the material. Tailoring on the trousers is excellent, the jackets were not the sharpest. They do carry a good variety of fabrics so you can always get the final touch from your tailor. For the price, you really can't beat JCrew, excellent quality for the price tag. May require some tailoring but really all suits will. Come spring they will carry seersucker and linen suits which would look very nice in a wedding.
Before I became a military spouse I worked on wall street. After a year off, I probably can't fit into my suits anymore, yikes!

When we were looking for something elegant for my mom to wear, she doesn't do skirts either, we came across a lot of mother-of-the-bride ensembles that were really lovely. It surprised me how many weren't too matronly. Try netbride and see what they have. I also recommend JCrew.

Good luck!

This one is a skirt, but it reminded me of those really wide leg pants so I thought I would throw it in.

I know some of these aren't pants, but they could be an option. You want to try to keep it from looking to much like an office outfit. Another option might be to get a nice pair of pants and couple it with a soft silk, or lacy type shirt.

With exception to the first outfit, everything is watters and watters.

I agree with She1 that's it's hard to find suits that don't look office-y (unless you can buy Chanel!). If you're open to the separates idea she suggested, Anthropologie has some really great wide-legged, Katherine Hepburn-esque pants that would look beautiful paired with a really feminine top - I particularly like their "Colonnade Trousers" or "Pitch Perfect Trousers".

Have you tried Banana republic. I bought several dress pants from they. I wore some of them at weddings and they are not office type at all.
