Where does the ring go?

I've heard that the wedding band goes on first then the engagement band from several people... so my question is this: What do you do with your engagement ring during the ceramony? Wear it on your right hand? then after the ceramony transfer it back to your left in front of your wedding band? I'm just curious??

Yes, wedding band then engagement ring. I think most women put their engagement ring on their right hand during the ceremony, that's what I am doing

I put mine on my right hand; however, if your wedding band is a wrap for your engagement ring, I have seen where the groom has taken both the engagement ring and wrap before hand and put them together before the ceremony and then put them on the bride during the ceremony.

I switched my e-ring to my right hand and after the ceremony was over, and the bridal party went to our room to eat, I put back the e-ring on my left hand.

I didn't put my e-ring on my right hand, it doesn't fit. I had it cleaned the day before and I gave it to my BIL and DH's Best Man to hold with the wedding band.

I guess that's an option too. But wonder if it would look weird or something for fi to put two rings on. Lol

I wanted them both blessed. So my BIL gave DH both rings instead of just my wedding band.

DH put my ring in his breast pocket. After the rings exchange, he gave it to me again.

I've been thinking about this too and have too been confused about it. I just asked a co-worker about it who's only been married about 5 years b/c I wanted to know her opinion and she actually gave me a good idea.

I want to wear a single dropped pearl as my necklace on my wedding day and it would be pretty to wear my engagement ring on the necklace as well. ♥ I dunno. Maybe not. I'd have to try it. Maybe on the day of my first fitting I could try it...if I have a necklace by then.
