Who could have known that excercise could be fun?

So here I am a slightly overweight asthmatic girl of 21 who is simply dying to find a good workout plan that doesn't cause my lungs to hate me. Here are a few different workouts that I have found that produce the best results with the least amount of respiratory resistance.

Yoga= calming and toning while presenting yet a core conditioning work out.

Pilates= my grandma introduced me to this ironically enough. Depending on what instructor you are following it may be challenging. My personal experience tells me though not to be a show off if the instructor is easier. Though it may not feel like it is working... it is. I have had enough good sore to prove it :)

Personal Favorite= Belly dancing!!! I never thought that an uncoordinated girl like me would be able to move my hips in a shakira like manner but this workout has been so much fun!!! If you are willing to make it a routine I promise you will see results within a matter of a few weeks. It tones your sides so well!! There was something about it that also added confidence to myself as well as a sense of sexiness too. The part I like most is that though I feel sexy after one of these workouts I don't feel like I am dirty or exploited myself. I know my FI is pretty stoked too. He isn't allowed to watch me work out yet but I have been told it helps out later down the road too ;)

What fun excercizes have you ladies found?

TURBO FIRE, it's the music that gets me grooving and makes me go in attack mode during my workouts. The music helps me go harder and I LOVE IT!! :)

doing something you truly enjoy is always the way to go!

dancing is my favorite form of exercise because i can do it forever and it doesn't feel like work! DH and i took salsa lessons together for a long time, but with my school schedule, we had to put it on hold. now i'm taking a zumba bootcamp class (a combination of zumba, strength training and pilates) on the weekends and love it! the bootcamp part of the class is tough, but the dancing keeps me going!

I got FI an XBox for Christmas last year because he loves those shoot 'em up games, and as an unexpected benefit there's this Dance Central game that I've been doing at least 2-3 times a week.  I love it, and I can really feel the difference.  I woke up a week or so ago, and I ACHED, but I'm workin' it!

I've done it nearly 6 hours in the just under two weeks I've had it.  I can definitely say it's made a difference!

Phelpsym33 - you might also like fitness ball workouts!  I have a fitness ball that I don't use very often, admittedly...but it is good core conditioning.  I have a friend who also swears by hula hooping!  It probably uses similar moves to the belly dancing, but it works great.  I have a friend who made diet changes and started hooping more, and she has lost nearly 70 pounds as a result.
