Who gets gifts at the rehearsal?

Besides your wedding party (MOH, Best man), who else are you buying gifts for? Your parents? Flower girl and ring bearers? Ushers? Where does it end? We're confused and would love to hear what others are doing and what etiquette says...help?

Thank you!

Hi Amatic, thats typically what I have seen at rehearsals. I know it can get out of hand, with money and all. I'm a little worried about this as well- although my family could care less if I did not get them something, but I would love to none the less.

To keep it simple you could get the 'same' gifts for everyone or something specific for BM and GM, such as buy personalized flasks or cuff links for all the GMs, etc. Albums for both of your parents, etc. My friend made all of her BM's necklaces they were to wear at the wedding which was nice, custom, and personal. HTH!

Other than the wedding party, I am buying a gift for my parents, my grandmothers are getting embroidered lace hankies ($8 each from my alterations lady), and I still need to think of something for one of my grandpas (the one that is paying for the harpist). Basically, anyone who helps pay gets a gift from me.

It didn't sound like you considered the flower girl, ring bearer, and ushers as the wedding party, I think most would (yes, including the wedding experts). Good argument to keep the wedding small. All those gifts do add up!

At our rehearsal dinner, we gave the entire bridal party their gifts. We purchased albums from our photographer of our wedding day for both of our parents. So our parents got their gifts a couple months later.

We are giving gifts to our bridal party. We are giving our parents a little something and then creating online books for them afterward. We are giving a gift to my aunt's boyfriend because he is taking on the task of being the videographer for the wedding and doing all the editing. We are also giving a gift (Things Remembered bracelets that are normally $20 each, got all 3 on ebay for $10) to my 3 cousins who are going to be our guestbook attendants, videographer helpers, and the go-to girls for anything that needs to get done. Oh, and we are giving a little something (haven't figured out what yet) to our officiant (a good friend of ours). I think that covers everyone. Our ushers are our groomsmen, but if we had separate ones I would probably give them a little something too.

And we don't have a flower girl or ring bearer, but if we did I would give them a little something. I was a flower girl a long time ago and was given a beatiful necklace that I still cherish.

We are giving gifts to our wedding party, including flower girl...actually especially flower girl. Also our dear friend who is performing the ceremony. We discussed getting gifts for our parents, but thought that since they putting a lot of money into the wedding...it might seem weird to spend money on gifts for them..so we decided to do a really nice/heartfelt thank you note for them... (and probably really nice christmas gifts this year...)
