Who walks down the aisle with the Bride's mom?
Often, I think it is one of the ushers. We chose instead to use my DH's brothers' partner. He usually gets left out of major family things and so it was a small way of saying that we accept him into the family. For awhile, my mom talked about walking down her mother herself, but we ended up having an usher do that as well.
omg this is such a good question I think it is usually an usher but we don't have one. Or a brother either yours or FI or your moms brother? or even a granpa tats a lone. I was thinking my bio dad should walk with my mom but then I remembered he'd end up over board~ haha
I'm actually having my mom walk down with me (along with me dad). But I've been to weddings where the bride's brother would walk the mom down the aisle. If you don't have a brother, maybe one of your ushers can walk down the aisle with your mom.
My mom wants my dad to walk her down the aisle...they celebrated 40 years of marriage this year so it's kind of sentimental for her. So he will walk her down the aisle and get her seated and then book it back around while the BM's are walking down the aisle to get back to me! :)
I was going to have my brother do it. He is an usher.
My brother walked my mother down the aisle. And then my husband's father walked his mom down the aisle. It's your preference. Good luck!
Both my brothers will walk my mom down the asile- it was too hard to chose one- so both! haha
I was REALLY bummed my brothers weren't IN the wedding but still wanted them to have a special part- my mom LOVES her boys haha- can you sense favoritism???? So it worked out....
- HMM: )
I never really understood why the father/husband doesn't walk with the mother/wife down. I know he escorts the bride, but I think it makes more sense for parents to walk in as a couple like beatie is doing. He is her "escort/date" for the event.
far out i never even thought about that girls!!! thanks for that extra stress... lol
my bro is a groomsman! dad is walking me down! i only have 1 bro... maybe my cousin who is usher but she is a girl! wud that matter? this wedding stuff truley is to much... lol
Thanks for the input guys... glad to know I'm not the only one pondering these crazy questions.
