Whoopie Pies: Quick Tips??

I've never even ate a whoopie pie before, but.. I'm going to attempt them this weekend.


 


I found tip by tip on Bakerella's blog, however.. Any tips before I start??

My tip is to MAKE THEM IMMEDIATELY!  They are delicious! My fav! ;-)

Heidi - The filling on those look DELISH!


I got the recipe from a friend but used the photo guideline from Bakerella.
HOWEVER, my friend suggested me getting "muffin top pans" because they weren't working out the other way.  What a life saver!


Here's some photos of my "successful" ones :)

Not the greatest looking but great for my first try of *successfully* making them!


I definitely love the sandwhich part!  The filling tasted too much like cake frosting... I was hoping for a more "marshmallow-y" filling.


My next attempt?


Macaroons!

OH MAN! I knew I would regret clicking back on this post!!! @Misshammy: That has to be one of my most favorite desserts!  I SO wish I could take a giant bite out of one of those babies right now. YUM!!
