Whose wedding is this anyway?

I go on fb this morning and my sweetie's cousin status is "How short is too short for my cousin's wedding? Saw the cutest dress but don't want to look to loose for the wedding."

One person told her to wear it because people say things look loose when they can't pull off the look. Someone else told her if she had to ask, then she shouldn't wear it. Another told her it's my day, all eyes should be on me. She replied, but she has her husband, I am trying to land me one.  Someone commented to that and said the poor bride don't even know what's about to happen at her wedding.

Really???? Why are you going to be a spectacle and TRY to show me up on my day or better yet be an embarrassment???? Maybe she didn't get the memo when I told my bridesmaids two weeks ago - ALL EYES ON ME!  Ugh! Why do people try to make someone else's wedding about THEM????

Sounds like she will just make herself look like an idiot if she wears an icky dress. I wouldn't worry. All eyes are going to be on you anyways, so no one is going to be worrying about her :)

when i saw the title, i KNEW this was gona be your post! haha, your family and friends are really giving you a run for your money!! i agree with the previous post, just ignore her. shes gona have a short dress on, and look like a hoochie infront of all of her family. IF there really are men there who are looking for a piece of ass, they are going to look at her like shes easy, deffinatly not going to find a "hubby" looking like that. theres a time and place for outfits like that, and if shes that confused that she thinks a wedding/family event is the right time and place, then more power to her! it will give everyone a good laugh behind her back. NOONE will outshine you. every single solitary person in that room is there for YOU and DH. shes just gona look like a fool.

Thanks all you fabulous ladies! I didn't even comment on it.  She is ridiculous.

@kplusd - yes family and friends are giving us a run for our money. My future hubby told me yesterday that he is ready for the day to get here already and be over with. Funny he should say that when he wanted this gala affair. His family is turning his hair gray.

@suzannerice - yes I have!  Now all I do is sit around and say, what next? Lol.

@Nicole - lmmbao!!! Okay, why do I think I will do that???

@ CandyAnn - thank you lady. All the women in his family want to be the "bride".

I had a similar experience, they're probably a little jealous. My hubby's sisters have all been in serious relationships for waaay longer than he and I and I think they were jealous that we did it first, oh well. I say 'Let a fool be'. That means let her do her own thing and she will probably look ridiculous while you're looking beautifully divalicious :)

Girl you are going to look fabulous so nobody is showing you up! Second you should have commented to her and said just that.....

I dont know where people have their heads at when it comes to wedding etiquette! I can take a couple guess but they are unladylike for me to say here! lol

Diva...tell them to kick rocks if they think they are going to somehow upstage the BRIDE! Its your day and ALL EYES ON YOU!

I agree CandyAnn. Definitely some jealousy going on. Don't get me wrong now, I love his family to pieces, but this wedding is bringing out the worse in them and some friends too. All the women in his family are beautiful, but they are all in their forties, some late forties, and dress like whores at times! Nothing wrong with feeling young at heart, but trying to dress like you are eighteen when you are pushing fifty is not in good taste. When the day comes, I am not going to see anyone but my gorgeous hubby. I am a true Virgo so up until the day of my wedding, my mother earth nature is kicking in. Lol.

WOW!!! Seriously, what is wrong with people!

This girl will have no bearing on you nor will she shadow your beauty.  All eyes will be you regardless of what your guests wear.  If eyes are on hers it will be in judgement of her poor taste in attire.

Why did my best friend just text me and ask me can the men wear jeans to the wedding????? Oh really? JEANS??? I told her to look at her bridesmaid dress and the overall feel of my wedding and tell me what do she think her husband should wear. It is a shame and practically a sin that people do not own a pair of nice dress slacks.

No one can outshine the bride. You will be the one wearing the most expensive and gorgeous gown there. You will be the one with the flawless hair and makeup. But most importantly, you will be the one radiating with love and happiness...and no one can outshine that;) Not even a nasty cousin in a scandalous dress. But just for good measure, I would use Nicole's comment on her. Seriously hilarious. Lol.
