Why am I always starving

at night?  Is anyone else like that?  I eat a pretty good dinner, but an hour or two before I go to bed I'm sooooo hungry.

Best place to start for this is to look at your diet for a day. Can you post what you eat on an average day?

Okay - here goes.  It doesn't change much from day to day.

Breakfast:  Either yogurt w/ walnuts or an omellete w/ egg whites, veggies & mozarella, or oatmeal.

Lunch:  Chicken sandwich, some veggies and a small bottle of chocolate soy milk or whatever the special is at work - usually some type of meat & veggies.

Dinner:  Piece of flank steak, an individual microwave serving of broccoli and some rice or some fish w/ the same sides.

Snacks during the day (usually between lunch and dinner):  almonds, carrot sticks or apple slices w/ peanut butter, or strawberry chex mix in the small bag.

I had the same problem with being starving all the time. I tried slim fast and they work wondering but I couldn't stand the taste. Then I tried the drink packets you add to a glass of water. They work wonders. Not all the time but I figure if it didn't work I prob need to eat something small. I would def try those. They are even inexpensive. I know this is REALLY hard to do because its hard for me but when I start a diet I try at least one day to hardly eat anything because it allows my stomach to shrink up a little and I get hungry less often.

Thanks ladies.  It's hard for me to stay on track when FI gets home from work at 10pm and he's eating burgers, tacos and all that other good stuff.

OMG Jackie!!!  ME AND YOU have the exact same problem!!!  I do good all day long, then FI comes home an throws a monkeywrench in my diet plan by eating fully loaded nachos from the Green Burrito, Whoppers w/cheese or whatever he decides to come home with at the same time as your FI.  He works graveyard shift and his lunch hr is 2 hrs long in which he is home from 8:30-10:30pm eating this stuff in front of me.  I feel your pain girl!!  What's worse is he's offering it to me and insistent on me having a bite or just tasting it even when I say I've already had my dinner and I'm full.

I think that should be our goal then during the challenge - not to "taste" any of their food.
