I know I'm a little worried, so I went searching for information on how to pull off an outdoor July wedding cake. =)

I am getting married August Long 2013. We are having an outdoor wedding at my parent in-laws acharage in a tent. I was wondering what a person does about a cake table? I fear the cake will melt and the bugs. Anyone have any suggestions for me. Thanks

I'm not 100% sure if I'm having cake yet, but if I do I will keep it indoors until just before we cut it. I know people usually have it displayed from the beginning of the reception, but it's the only option I can think of. If we do decide to do it that way I will probably have a cake intro song that can continue playing while we cut it

I'll probably try to keep my cake on display for the beginning of the reception (maybe during the cocktail hour?) and then I'll move it somewhere it'll be cooler to keep it in tact. I know that sounds a little tacky... but I think it's more important to eat the cake than just look at it !
