I don't think it would be wrong.  It may be annoying to the photog's and you may want to make sure they are aware of the other one.  Why are you doing 2 if you don't mind me asking?

Agree with kells76. DH's uncle is "semi-pro" and I was getting frustrated that he was getting in the way of our pro photographer. Plus we had a lot of guests who wanted to take a own photo.  Ask your main photographer how he/she feels about a 2nd photographer... and maybe split the responsibility- main photographer focuses on the bride/gm/wedding party/details and the 2nd photographer focuses on guests/etc. HTH.

I think it would be fine. I would love two photogs but the budget wont allow :(

Its not uncommon to have 2 photogs from different companies.  It is key that they are aware (just as previous posts said) about each other.  If not careful, 2 photogs can actually get in the way of one another.  I think OCbride's idea of having them have different things to focus on.

Good luck :)

As the smart ladies have said make sure its ok. We had someone offer to be a backup photog for free but our main photog has a "no second photog" clause in her contrct. We had to tell him no.
