Would you be mad if.....

Your maid of honor decided to go bald 3 months before your wedding!

My sister who is my MOH (whom I dont greatly get along with anyway but placed herself in my wedding) has cut all her hair off and is now damn near bald! She thinks its funny and when FI asked her why in the hell she did this she replied..."its hot outside!"

So my mother then asked her why would she do this, so close to her sister's wedding? And she replied..."no big deal...I can add weave or wear a wig!"

I have not said a word yet mostly due to im so in shock! So...would you be mad if....your MOH went bald 3 months before your wedding voluntarily?

Eeeeek, I guess it depends on the person. If the person could pull it off and it looked pretty awesome, then no, I wouldn't. If they looked ridiculous, then yes, I'd be mad lol. On a good note, you are three months away and it will grow out a bit in that time, unless she keeps cutting it short! If she is willing to wear a weave or wig, then I wouldn't be too worried!!

I can see where the initial freak out would be, but if she's planning on wearing a weave or a wig, I think it would be ok!!!!!

I agree with Faith. I would definitely be shocked and if it looked really bad then yeah I would be mad but hopefully she can do something with it so it looks good!

i dont think id be mad. but im not picky about how my girls' hair looks at all. we are all hairstylists, so one of my girls may possibly even have a fohawk for my wedding (she has been growing it out, but if its at an awkward length, shes just gona re-cut it so it doesnt hang wierd) overall, your MOH is the one who has to stand in front of a bunch of people and be bald, idk who in their right mind would want to do that!!

I suppose it depended on the person.
I have a couple of friends who are just like that. May have a blue hair one day, a shaved head the next. None of them are actually in my wedding party, but if they were and did that - I don't feel it would affect the wedding pictures or wedding because that is who they are - so it's that, or some other crazy thing. Now if it was my long, beautiful haired girly girl best friend who just decided to snap and shave her head... maybe. Because it would be a huge distraction (due to such a drastic change for her) AND the photos will never really reflect her... looking back, or showing our future kids, it will be "Whoa... look at Jessica's head! She has no hair."

Did that make sense? I ramble. lol

I'd be a little upset but if they said they do a wig then I probably wouldn't care AS LONG AS they wear a wig or something lol But some people can really pull that off! Its your wedding tho!

I want to ask my FI best man to cut his hair (I hate long hair on men!!) but I'd rather not start anything over it even though I feel I have the right. He is paying a lot to be in our DW so I don't want to push my luck lol

Had I wanted all the ladies to wear their hair in similiar styles and I told them this at the beginning, I probably would be mad, but otherwise, I think it would be fine. My cousin wears her hair very short like that and she wears it well. And by the time your wedding comes around, some hair should have grown back and she could wear a really cute short style unless she wants it bald again.  If she is going to wear a wig or weave, just let it go.  Isn't it amazing though that it seems everyone wants to piss you off right before the wedding?

Well while I am not very happy that she did this as long as it looks decent for the wedding then ill be ok. However it just kills me that she would have no regard for me or my wedding by doing something this drastic. I decided not to say anything!

thanks ladies!

Oh man, I think I'd be more shocked than mad, but I totally get where you're coming from.  :/  Hopefully, she'll have enough growth for a good weave and honestly, it might not even be about her being intentionally inconsiderate of you, but more about her not realizing it was such a bad move that might be misconstrued as being inconsiderate...or maybe I'm just fooling myself for the sake of consoling you?  I'll pump some massive Rogaine hair growth vibes into the air for your MOH and send you tonnes of hugs in the meantime.  It'll get sorted.  Thankfully, hair grows back.  ;)

I don't know if I would be mad but I would definitly be shocked. Funny idea she had...But I think you're coping really great with this situation. Let's see what her hairs will look like in three months and if it doesn't look decent, then it will always be time to see what can be done with her.

I don't think I would be upset.  If she wants to be bald in pictures that's on her.  Don't worry about it.  As long as you look good which you will, don't worry about others looking like a hot mess.

I agree.. I would be in more of a shock only because my MOH has really really really long hair and she would never cut it off. BUT, if that did happen, its her hair, im not going to be picky she could rock the bald look if thats what she wants/wanted. Lol

LOL@Mica! Um yes you are consoling well! But thank you for the rogain vibes ladybug! Knuckle bumps!

LOL@mademoiselle ...you are right! She will need the wig! There will be no weaving done when you are bald! She will have to find a wig that is suitable!

@davidslilprncs...I do agree that its important that I look good but these still are my wedding pictures! I dont want any of my girls looking a hot mess. If the haircut was cute I would be ok but the style she chose is crazy! She did this on purpose! I laugh at this to keep from screaming very loud! LOL

Whats worse about this is that she didnt just go short...she went damn near bald, announced she will be wearing it like this for some time and had the nerve to leave a bang! REally? A bang?  Whats the bang for? I dont know whats going on with her but she has been difficult this whole time. This is the same MOH who decided that she couldnt wear a black dress to match the rest of the girls because how would the guests know she is my sister if she was in the same dress? So she ordered a silver dress instead of a black dress! REally? And now your bald!

@%@$^%#&^*........lol

Personally, I wouldn't be angry, shocked as others have said, but not angry.  It's her body and her hair to do with as she chooses.  My philosophy is that everyone will be so busy looking at your beauty they won't notice hers ;) I find a shaven head to be beautiful, both on men and women, but I also am not a slave to fashion or care for things that are fashionable.  Heck I wear clothes that have been out of style for over 150 years! =p
