You want a +1?

I sent part of the invitations out this week and I thought my side would be less of a drama like my fi's family members. Funny how people recently received my invitations go on FB the next day wanting to change status to "in a relationship." Well sorry but if you just met that man 1 week, 2 weeks or a month ago then you still are considered a single. My wedding is not bring your average joe to my wedding. None of these will be alone because other family members and have them placed at a table with them. I had 2 people ask so far. (rolling my eyes)

I agree with you 100%....obviously these people haven't hosted an event where they are paying a lot of money for their friends to attend....then they want to bring someone you don't even know (hell they hardly know) to your event.  Really?

I totally agree with you guys. They don't realize it that it isn't cheap and you want people that you know. It's really rude of them :o/ sorry about that

I think this is one of the most annoying parts of planning. I have a friend who wants to bring a guy she's dating but doesn't consider to be her boyfriend. If he's not good enough to be your boyfriend what makes him good enough to come to my wedding??? People just don't understand how expensive it is.

I don't think people realize how much all these +1's add up. I've had quite a few people who are single planning on looking for a date or trying to bring a friend. My aunt even said she wants my 14 year old cousin to bring his girlfriend! She already has 4 people just in her family and she wants to bring 2 more? They don't understand it's a formal event not a bar-b-que
