Your man's suit!

Hey girls, we're looking to buy FI a nice black suit (that fits him like a glove) for the wedding, does anyone have any recommendations for a nice place to buy a good quality suit? --->the kicker...for under $250?

My DOC had mentioned something about 3-Day Suit broker for like $150?  I never checked into it though.

This might be a dumb question...but what is the dif between a suit and a tux? Is a tux more stiff like? I think I like the suits better...or is there any difference??? :)

We got DH's at Men's Wearhouse; I think it was just over $300, and then with alterations, it came to like $440 (they had to do a LOT with the jacket since he has to get a 52" to fit his shoulders, but then it was huge through the body, so I dont' think MOST alterations would run that much).

Prior to going there, we'd gone to the department stores and other men's stores, and found beautiful suits that were 3x as much, but when he found this one, he said it was every bit as lightweight and comfortable as those (and since he'll literally only end up wearing it once or twice a year, he didn't want to invest a ton).

I've also been really impressed with their service and assistance in showing us different looks/options for the suit (which got him really enthused about dressing up, actually!)

Is K&G in your area?  You can get 2 suits for $250 there!  Website is acting up so i couldn't check for you.

K&Gmens.com

I think you can rent suits from tux places as well and that would cost less (but frankly it's a waste of money unless you just have no use for a decent suit).

Good luck!
