Zipper instead of corset???

Hello!! I bought the Adorae for my May 2011 wedding...I LOVE it, but I am not crazy about the corset back for me personally. (but I have to say after looking at all of these pics, everyone looks AMAZING, and the corset doesn't really bother me...)Anyway...Do you brides who have already worn, or who are already fitted, feel that a zipper instead of the corset would hurt the fit of the dress??

Thanks!

Hmmm Well I'm not sure it will hurt the fit of the dress, but I ordered mine with the corset because it'll give me a tighter fit and give me the option to gain or lose lbs. haha  I was given the option with the zipper, but stuck with the corset.  I think you will be just fine and your seamstress can make adjustments. :)

I'm glad to hear you were given the option also...I didn't see anyone else write about a zipper, so I didn't know if I was crazy for wanting one. I figure she will fit it to me, so I should have a tight fit...BUT the option of gaining and losing...Hmmmm, didn't think of that. I really like the look of a clean zipper--but do I want to sacrifice a better fit??

Thanks for your input!

My dress is the Rhianna Royale and I LOVE the corset. Like Miss_Jules said, it's great because it won't matter if I happen to gain any weight.....LOL...Also, you can pull it tighter to give yourself that "hour glass shape" :)

I think it will tend to not fit quite as nicely through the waist... the corset really gives that gorgeous hourglass shape!

Mine is a corset and I was never given the choice of a zipper. A zipper would be much easier, but I've always loved the corset look.  I'm sure it would give me belly room to lose/gain, but I have big hips and a big butt so I had to get the right size to fit those and then the waist and bust have to seriously come in.  And I told them when I've tried it on to do it as tight as possible to accentuate my waist!

My daughter had a corset fit and we pulled her in and she was amazing in that dress! I don't believe we would have had the same fit with a zipper!

I prefer the look of a zipper and thoght that I would totally have that BUT once the lady at the bridal store tied me up in the corset I was done... it gave me an amazingly tiny shape and I LOVED it.
