3rd trimester fatigue.... :*(

Ug...this is a vent post more than anything.  I need to get it all out there!  Haha.

I'm 28 weeks pregnant now, and this whole weekend I have been EXHAUSTED.  Not just "oh, I'm a bit sleepy" but down and out, on the couch, don't-touch-me tired.  THE WHOLE WEEKEND.  I don't know if this is just the 3rd trimester kicking in, maybe I have a little virus, or what, but I took today off of work because I felt so weak.  (I'm a teacher, so if I skip a day I truly need to skip it.  Making sub plans and missing is harder than just slogging through it most of the time, but now with a little one, I need to think about us not just me, so I decided to take care of my body.)

I experienced fatigue in my 1st trimester, but nothing like this.  I went to the doctor today and had my iron + thyroid checked (and they also did my blood glucose screen), so maybe it's related to that, but sheesh.

Being pregnant is hard work. :P  Vent over.  I hope I feel better soon...any tips or things you did that helped if you are in the same boat as me?  Praying this gets easier...

I am not there yet, but you made a good choice taking the day off & getting your blood work done for your iron & thyroid levels.

*Hugs* Get some rest... I am sure the time change doesnt help at all either :(

Aw! Hugs! I literally took a nap on my lunch break every day towards the end of my pregnancy. It is hard work - you are growing a little person!

Hey girl, I totally understand what you're feeling. I'm 28 weeks yesterday and the fatigue is back! I'm taking naps again when I'm home during the day, and my energy is just low. Granted I am anemic but this is feeling like 1st trimester fatigue. My fatigue during my first trimester was serious! I could not function at all! I hope this isn't a repeat, I have too much to get done in the next 12 weeks!

Sending some energy your way'

I'm not quite there yet, but I have been wondering when it will happen. I am already noticing that I need an extra hour or so of sleep again, similar to the first trimester. I imagine I will be very tired again soon, too!

Sending you big hugs and hoping you get some much-needed rest (and bursts of energy here and there!)

Oh I hear ya!  I'm 32 weeks and by 8:30 at night I can barely keep my eyes open anymore.  But yet when I go to bed, I'm so uncomfortable, I can't sleep.  So I'm like a walking zombie right now.

Oh no! My energy levels plummeted in the first trimester so I can only imagine what it's like in the last trimester. I guess I'll find out in a month! lol Hope you feel better soon-- get as much rest as you can!

Oh no I hope you found some relief with taking the day off.

I got sleepy in the first tri but never exhausted like my gf did who warned me about it. I kept waiting for it to come but it didn't. I guess that means it might hit me hard in the 3rd tri. :(

I remember it being hard and miserable during the 3rd trimester last month. I think I just learned to get used to being that tired and thats how I survived.  I am 2 weeks away from my 3rd trimester and im getting nervous about it all ready.
