First trimester bleeding

I've been having some  dark brown blood comming out since yesterday, I'll have mild cramping once in a while, like 2-3 times a day and it's not enough to need a pad. I talked to an OB I work with and he said it's fairly common but I'm still kinda freaked. Anyone else experience anything like this?

I know it's hard but I wouldn't worry if you haven't filled a pad and your OB isn't concerned. Try not to stress out. From what I read, brown and pink bleeding is fairly normal. Fingers crossed for you.

I've never had any bleeding...but i've also lost pregnancies with no bleeding too...and ditto, the dark or brown blood is usually old, I would worry if it was red or bright red...

Oh...pregnancy is so stressful! As other said, since it's brown and not enought to fill a pad, I would try not to worry too much (even though I know you still will...have been there!).

Still, if I were you, I woul d take it easy for a couple of days and make sure to rest. Is there anyway you could have a bloodwork done this week to make sure everything is fine?

Praying and sending hugs your way for a sticky bean!

I had that a few weeks ago and freaked out.  I've m/c before so I immediately called my doctors office and got right in.  They said that the blood they saw wasn't coming from my cervix so I didn't need to worry.  My doc advised me (and I think he said it just to keep me from calling the office every other day haha) that if I was bleeding and it was more than a normal period for me and it was red that I should be concerned then.

I know it's hard not to freak out, believe me but if it gets to a point where you are seriously concerned call your doctor.  It's not like you are asking something that 100 other first time pregnant women haven't asked.

I know I am probably being paranoid but by the third day I was freaked, had some cramping and just not feeling pregnant anymore. I went to the ER (my first time ever) to have my levels checked since my dr. Was out of town for the weekend. It is too early to see even the yolk sac on ultrasound but they said my endometrium it thick and there is a corpus luteum on my left overy which is good. My hcg was 1257 and they gave me a lab slip to com back tomorrow to recheck it and make sure it is going up. I took the night off of work, which i've already gotten crap from coworkers for, to rest.

Well Boo to your co-workers!  I'm not sure what level your HCG should be at, so I'm no help there.  I had about 3 days worth of spotting/bleeding the last time too, and you'll have cramping for quite awhile.  I still have it and I'm 9w3d, don't let it concern you unless it's causing you severe pain.

SAD TO SAY IT IS COMMON BECAUSE I JUST WENT THROUGH THAT MYSELF AND I'M 12 YESTERDAY. I EXPERIENCED BLEEDING FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS. I WAS SO SCARED AND I ALSO HAD A THREATENED MISCARRIAGE THE FIRST DAY I STARTED BLEEDING BECAUSE I HAD A BIG GUSH OF BLOOD TO COME OUT. THEY DID ALL KINDS OF ULTRASOUNDS AND TESTS BUT EVERYTHING CAME BACK NORMAL. I'VE STOPPED BLEEDING SINCE THEN BUT I'M ON HIGH RISK WATCH. BE CAREFUL LADIES AND CONGRATS!!
